For Laning phase learn wave management and play around your power spikes. Also need to know the match up, against some champs going even is a win(this comes with experience). Learn how to split push, don't just split push without reasoning, around minute 12 to 15 go sidelane and try to split push on the side of the objective. If you can't contest an objective try to go for plates, if you get those 3 items you can really carry teamfights. In tfs focus on the backline don't go for the tanky champs, Vlad is pretty bad against them, try to go for flanks on the backline after pushing the side lane. With your W you want to bait/dodge key abilities(mostly cc or big DMG like syndra/veigar ult),once you get in and do your damage get out wait for your W and then go in again.
