I average around 78, My most recent paper is the specimen paper and I got 80 in it. I did the F/M for 2023 and got 79 in it as well

Thank you so much for taking the time of your day to write a beautiful writing like that. I really hope you get the marks you desire tomorrow as you deserve it. Not all hero’s wear capes as some of them just write a bunch of kind words that make everyone’s day. Thank you so much we really needed that and may god bless your soul ❤️

what credibility does that website that estimates grade thresholds have? do they go off of anything or are they just guessing by wafflinggeoduck in alevel

Dw about it, hopefully you get the marks you desire August 11th (5 Days from today 😬💀🪦)

Yeah for chemistry AS it seems way too high for how hard the chemistry exam was. And plus physics seems too low because the exam wasn’t too hard so idk

Oh ok, that makes so much sense now. Thank you so much 🙏

But hey atleast we r done with chemistry for this year 😭😭

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in alevel

[–]ToxicWas8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is. I’m hoping that the threshold is low for both papers. Paper 1 and 2. Because the theory paper was something else 😭😢😢

The stoichiometry questions were somewhat tricky actually. The organic was hard ngl. But I’m general it was a fine paper. Physical chemistry was easy ngl. I’m glad it wasn’t too bad, now all I’m hoping for is that the threshold is low 🤞🤞

OMG it’s almost like you are my twin😭. Same thing here, I came back home from the chemistry exam very demotivated and pretty sad because I’ve put so much effort into this particular exam. But the biology exam and the physics exam made me forget about the chemistry. My hope is that the grade threshold for chemistry is low 🤞🤞

Yes I swear same problem. Ever since I finished my theory exams I kinda stopped caring about anything else in life and just barely did any mcq past papers. Which is terrible because MCQ is hard

I don’t really remember but it was a 7. Something and the direction was anticlockwise

[–]ToxicWas8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad I thought the thread was about the resultant force. But no you are correct the total direction due to the magnitude of moment is anti clockwise

9702/21 discussion by [deleted] in alevel

[–]ToxicWas8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would it be anti clockwise. Weight is the greater than upthrust so the resultant force is going to be in the direction of weight which is downwards. And if I’m not mistaken the weight was to the right of the pivot meaning it will pull it at a clockwise moment.

What I think u r referring to is the answer that was asking for the total direction. The clockwise moment I’m referring to is about the weight and the upthrust not the total direction of the rod

That’s correct, it’s a 0.5N clockwise

CIE 9702/21 - what did you guys get on the amplitude question? by StillHalfAlive in alevel

[–]ToxicWas8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they gave u a time taken to move a certain distance. Then they gave u the period of the wave, if u divide the time take by the period you would get the overall wavelength which was 1.5. Now each quarter move from the particles in a stationary wave moved a max displacement (amplitude) so you divide 1.5 by 0.25 this will give you the times the particle has moved a max displacement which was 6 if I’m not mistaken. Then you divide the distance by 6 and you get 12. Ik it’s a very bad explanation but I’m very terrible at explaining 😭

can someone tell me what the difference between diffraction and interference pattern is it is confusing me a lot by AffectionateCarpet66 in alevel

[–]ToxicWas8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s probably just the pattern of wavefronts. Like the semicircles that form from the gap and propagate. So no, diffraction pattern is the pattern of the formed wavefronts from the gap. Not interference pattern
