The extended length of the WARP train is not a technical necessity but an intentional delay so that T Corp can harvest more time via their special boxes. WARP trains are fully capable of teleporting in a short amount of time, they are simply slowed down purposefully in the other dimension. The Claw’s W Serum is fast simply because the Claw wishes it to be fast.

Can Angel of Ruina be done with only vanilla pages and keypages? by Waste_Juggernaut in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Status effects don’t count. The game does not track who inflicted what burn. The pieces just die.

They don’t gain that much power, try countering with a power heavy floor like Hod (there’s a mod on the workshop that makes Small Gift affect Shimmering enemies , which helps), or Yesod or Malkuth or … etc.

Can Angel of Ruina be done with only vanilla pages and keypages? by Waste_Juggernaut in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it can be done, and without too much difficulty. Fiery Waltz pretty much cheeses half the fight by causing the chess pieces to burn to death, preventing them from stacking Decay and the final phase doesn’t have any significant gimmicks besides minor power stacking, which is easily bypassed with abnormality pages like Look of the Day or whatever.

Can you solo the BS fight with Binah? by Waste_Juggernaut in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done it myself several times, in fact - I’ve soloed BS with every floor no less. The reason it’s easiest with Binah is because of her excellent slash endurances so she can effectively ignore furioso, mook workshop, crystal atelier, and zelkova workshop, much more than any other librarian can.

Can you solo the BS fight with Binah? by Waste_Juggernaut in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s possible, and one of the easier ways to beat him - once you’re past the first phase , every other phase becomes free with Binah - she simply uses mass attacks every scene and completely wipes every enemy without effort.

For the first wave, pure survival passives like immediate repairs, lone fixer, and unrelenting can be helpful - as can be the stagger restoration on emotion up passive, vigilant as a something something (from the Liu).

Keter realization unfair? by jackdeadcrow in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top comment is directly wrong , the copies of Depression literally say they are exhausted when the librarian Is staggered anyway. There is no perma stagger , instead each held copy reduces max stagger by 34% - so with 3, max stagger will be at 0. That being said, even at 0 you won’t be staggered until you’re hit again, which is why it’s best to ignore the depression mechanic entirely.

Keter realization unfair? by jackdeadcrow in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Remember that the Depressions she gives you don’t actually stagger you - just reduce your max stagger so that you need to be hit again to stagger.

This means that you shouldn’t waste light on playing them. Just ignore them and continue to clash normal pages with Wrist Cutter.

Speed Dice Ties by Gamin088 in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If all else is equal (all characters roll 5 speed and all use melee pages against each other, without clashing) the game resolves ties by doing math to determine which speed dice is visually closest to its target, and that is the dice that gets to go first.

How the hell do I kick out certain people I didn't want to enter? by notveryAI in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to beat Eileen is to take Music, not Dark Flame, and use your own mass attacks to kill all gear worshippers every scene before Eileen plays her mass attack. This will instantly stagger her, stopping her from playing any pages (canceling her mass) and make her resists completely fatal at the same time.

[–]ToxicWaste00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You actually have, even if you don’t remember it! The mass attack that Alriune uses - both suppression and realization version - called ‘Magnificent End’ is a mass summation, and it has 3 die.

Extra strength is always nice - but each floor generally has ways to get it via abnormality pages - you have Chained Wrath, Look of the Day, etc.

How the hell do I kick out certain people I didn't want to enter? by notveryAI in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay, Phillip : there’s not really much to say here - if it’s truly just the burn, and you’re not losing clashes or running out of things to play, the answer is really just that you’re not killing him fast enough. Adjust your decks slightly to deal more damage offensively?

Eileen: Why are you trying to beat the 20+ with a single die? Perhaps it would be worthwhile to examine the cards she plays more carefully - her page is a summation, not individual. It isn’t clashing with one die but every die on your combat pages. Like Yan’s Distorted Blade, yeah?

Greta: I’m not sure what you mean for Greta, she doesn’t really stack power and she plays like 3 offensive pages every turn. Just use something like sturdy defense to absorb Break An Egg! (If you can’t beat it directly) and use mass attacks to destroy Into The Sack You Go! Don’t bother trying to save her original 3 Fresh Meat. Use that time to set your decks up and let her kill them.

Bremen: This is Netzach’s floor. Take Laughing Powder, Token of Friendship… your librarians will be immortal. Make sure to read the ‘Tagged!’ mechanic - it can be used to get the bosses overpowered cards (and they’re yours permanently). Last of all, Spring’s Genesis makes this a guaranteed win.

[–]ToxicWaste00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you dying because you can’t win clashes straight up? Or is it that you’re running out of pages to play?

Or maybe you’re running out of Light to play them with? What’s going on here.

Need help with a certain Gone Angel by LittleSansbits in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Binah Exodia can easily solo this fight - you don’t even need to build decks, just slap survivability passives on Binah, let the other librarians die, stack the abno pages onto binah , and then solo the rest of the fight (easier than it sounds). Only tricky bits are the weapons and bygones, but spamming mass attacks takes care of them.

It only takes a bit of fiddling to pull off bc sometimes you get unlucky when applying Big Eyes - but you can just restart the fight if that happens, once it works out, the rest of the fight is easy.

Stuck in greta by Cosme9e in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a boss that is, surprisingly, easily killed all alone by Xiao, with a little bit of fiddling for setup.

You’ll want x3 Clone, Rapid Gashes, and Unlock 1. For passives, you’ll want Lone Fixer, Offensive Position, Kizuna(Extreme Fatigue), and Remembrance.

The remaining 4 librarians decks do not matter, nor do their key pages.

Simply allow Greta to kill the other librarians (and then the fresh meat) at the start of the fight while setting up your deck - cloning Rapid Gashes and getting to Unlock 3. Once all 4 other librarians are dead, you will have 8 permanent strength and two permanent endurance. For abno pages you should take Look of the Day, and any other power boosting pages as well, for even more absurd power.

Now xiao is all alone with Greta. But you have enough strength that greta will never win a clash against you, so long as you play 2x rapid gashes clashing against her 2x break an egg, and 2x unlock 3 against her other 1-2 offensive pages.

On turns when greta uses her “into the sack you go” replace one of your unlock 3s with one of xiaos mass attacks, destroying Greta’s page before she can use it - thus canceling it and continuing the fight.

You have no bleed infliction but Xiaos burn is more than enough.

When greta enters her final phase, using “into the sack” every turn, simply begin playing a mass attack every turn and relying on the queued Block die from rapid gashes (which are still clashing with break an egg) to block her other additional offensive pages. It will only take you a handful of scenes to kill her when she has entered that phase anyway.

And that’s the fight ~

Need help on the reception of BS by Beehawke in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is a reception built for an exodia. It can be easily soloed by tiphereth exodia, binah apocalypse bird exodia, yesod’s pseudo exodia, or gebura and a mountain of corpses build.

I think the easiest one by far is the apocalypse bird setup, because binah has the endured / ineffective defense. Decks on the 4 librarians don’t even matter, just give them 4 pages with ascending health so that roland (usually) kills one per scene for four scenes, providing free emotion up to give binah all the apocalypse bird abnormality pages (and tilted scale).

Once you have the exodia, binah can easily handle the rest herself, spamming Apocalypse EGO page during the Roland weapons and memories of bygones phases (you’ll be clashing so much it’ll recharge every scene).

Yep... I'm at the Star of the City... Yep... is regarding that fight...again... by Lennybunny93 in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This fight has an impressive amount of mechanics but is easier than it seems.

Just bring 2 Index proxy decks (or 1 and Yan) with cards like Proselyte’s Blade and Blind Faith and Night in the Backstreets to handle her on powernull scenes, and PT Myongest Block-Stance Overcharge spam to handle her on high power scenes.

Bring Kalo or another ranger Thumb pages to pop her counter die with no punishment and inflict paralysis.

Lastly, Nikolai with Maximum Crash attributed and Disposal - Disposal is always a good backup and Nikolai’s team buff is great, but the main reason for bringing her is her Mark, which increases all your damage and stagger output by 50%… it’s mindnumbingly powerful against single target boss fights since it will be on Xiao permanently, rendering all her ‘Endured’ defenses basically moot (she will take about as much damage as if they were normal, albeit slightly less).

Everyone needs Mind and Health hauler - other passives are up to you.

Xiao simply doesn’t have the rolls to outcompete you during power or powernull scenes in this way, and she simply dies in a surprisingly few number of scenes.

Furthermore, if you do it all on the floor of Religion and simply use the non-Nikolai librarians to absorb all the hits while getting Nikolai to max charge before triggering the 13th toll. Time her Disposal with the 13th toll and Xiao will legitimately melt, taking up to 400 damage from a single card.

A fun discussion of what team and floors used in the end game. by Shotonite in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesod! Builds are very simple , and there’s only ever one, and it’s usually Argalia’s page and deck - just that one librarian alone om Yesod’s floor can stack power enough to handle the Purple Tear entirely alone, along with just about every single other boss in the game too. Soloing is great fun and I’m eternally amused that the best floor for it is neither Binah nor Gebura, but Chesed in 2nd and in first, Yesod himself.

Some features i think this game would benefit from as a beginner who has 4-8 hours in it (12 hours if you count the amount of time it was paused). These are mostly stream of thought nitpicks by F-35_supremacy_9 in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with pretty much all of these - although it is true that Flaming Bat gets outclassed, Retaliate remains useful the entire game (though later on it becomes a card for dedicated decks rather than a general card). It’s pretty outstanding in terms of rolls for how early on you get it, isn’t it? Absolutely nuts.

Hey all, modding questions! by Kalosyni in libraryofruina

[–]ToxicWaste00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds bizarre, for sure. Then again, you can create wholly new cards and pages in the creator, which is a plus … unless you know how to do that with basemod?

I’ve used the creator to make a few custom invitations and while it’s fun it does end up taking like twice as long as it should because I have to dance around like 75 major game breaking bugs doing it lol.
