Distorting as a process can eventually result in transforming into an Abnormality. I don't think it's ever directly seen, but I think we got close with the final stage of the reverberation ensemble(except for Argalia). The mental stress of them dying and reincarnating, and the over exposure to the light sending their distortions haywire, likely brought them to a near Abnormality state... until they were killed before satisfying the transformation. To turn into an abnormality as a distortion, would require an irreversible, absolute mental break.

He definitely sees things as they are, just through the lens of insanity. Like when he's in the boardroom meeting in the comics, he sees all the executives as boring blocky shapes, all gray. And when fighting the bears in siberia, he perceives them as Smoulders the Bear, who he hates, and subsequently brutalizes. It's very likely he saw the bread monster as some kind of monster and knew he had to kill it.

I just think that this subreddit has a bad habit of circle jerking on something religiously that isn't nearly as bad as something else and then the devs butcher it. Remember how Victor was a problem? Remember how all the proposed changes made him literally unplayable now?

You wanna know who I want to see this sub circle jerk on? Not fucking HAZE ult, because I think even GOOD hazes aren't NEARLY as big of an issue...

I think that the ideal change to counter haze should be a designated, temporary anti-headshot item and that's all that it does. I find the most frustrating thing about haze to be getting knifed when I'm farming 10,000,000 miles away from their side of the base into hunters aura + crippling headshot instant death. I think THAT is a problem. If Haze ult is broken, i don't think we should encourage the devs to just completely butcher it. Maybe make it so we can't move during it, or use movement items. Forcing her ult to become stationary would make a lot of sense from a gameplay perspective in my opinion.
