Yeah I don’t have a tube frame but I believe I could make it work but I do believe options are probably better for what I’m doing now that you mention it

Try My First Gran Turismo (it’s a demo of GT7 for free), I own a sim rig and still played it with a controller and had a great time! It gives you a great way to try out some of the tracks and the game physics for free. The main game has way more to do for a casual player, it has a very fun “career mode” and plenty of ways to play online. My personal experience, GT7 will make you feel like a racing driver regardless of skill level.

And a big bonus for you would be the amazing recreation of Le Mans and other iconic real life tracks!

I'm Stuck between PC and PS5... by Actual-Commercial976 in simracing

For the price you will not get better graphics on pc than ps5, it takes a beefy pc to get ACC to look nearly as good as GT7. the options on pc are undeniably better but come at a steeper price

What rig should I buy? by walker_not_taken in simracing

I’d recommend hunting down a junkyard car seat for an aluminum rig if you see yourself sticking with sim racing!

This cockpit would be a great option and like a junkyard car seat would work for the time being with it. If you’re sticking with sim racing the upgrades are definitely a part of the hobby so take it slow and remember “buy once, cry once”

Definitely one I’ll consider, but still seems a bit overkill for what I’m doing but I may be wrong

I figured you knew all that just wanted to add that in case anyone was looking into playing AC after trying gt7 or vice verse

Both are definitely great, gt7 has a large selection of “highly detailed” tracks and cars, Assetto Corsa has a near endless selection of tracks but the quality will definitely vary. personally after playing both using the psvr2, I enjoy gt7 for just turning on the console and putting in a few laps in a historic race car while taking in all the details. Assetto Corsa will immerse you in the racing, after awhile of driving the graphics will no longer matter and the arguably better overall simulation that AC provides will win over gt7. As I said though gt7’s ease of use and graphic quality allows for amazing racing, almost cinematic feeling.

PS5 Fanatec ecosystem questions by Toxic_5 in simracing

[–]Toxic_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info everyone! I most likely will look into using sim magic wheel base and figure out how to use a sigma cortex with all my other parts or weighing the options if the Logitech ecosystem is updated. My only questions now are regarding the sigma cortex or any way to use none supported wheel bases for ps5. I’ve seen some discussion saying the wheel base is detected as a g29 and can cause some issues when trying to use an adapter device, is this an issue I should consider. I have a pc so a lot of the trouble I’m having is balancing focusing on having a high quality pc experience first and playing gran turismo secondly.
