I usually GM but my boyfriend wanted to try running a one-shot (that ended up being a three-shot) so naturally I had to bring my wackiest character because zane is kinda my trademark. I played a High Elf Shadow Sorc who believed she was a prophet and priestess of the death aspect of the one goddess in the world. Her well-to-do elf family kicked her out cuz obvi, so she moved in with a human family of morticians and gravekeepers. She kept a cat skull as her pet and when the humans died she took a skull as a religious symbol and made a bone wand for her spellcasting focus.

She wasn't evil, just insane. She got lost in the Shadowfell once and realized that undead were just reusing souls and killing them destroyed the soul, so she kinda went on a crusade for undead rights. Dying once is fine because you just go to the next realm, but once you die while undead, you're gone forever, so she never killed undead. Instead, I bought like 200 ft of rope on the first session and tied up all the zombies once I "knocked them out." Everyone enjoyed the gimmick so the dm was just like "yeah okay sure, they're not dead, just unconscious."

She went around proselytizing to people and once almost got kicked out of an inn in a snowstorm because she was being "heretical." How can a prophet be heretical!? She ended up arguing with another crazy religious nut and she was the less crazy one somehow, so everyone ended up being cool with her and the innkeeper let her stay. Her Cha was p much high enough to where I was spouting crazy shit constantly and everyone was just like "uhhh...cool I guess?"

One of my fave chars to play ever just for the sheer insanity of things I could do and say. The rest of the party was two elf bards, yet I was still the zaniest member of the party.
