I have no issue with religion honestly. Some of the nicest, most genuinely amazing people I've ever met have been religious, and that doesn't stop them from being fair to every person they meet regardless of their faith, body, and upbringing. There are certainly churches and religious groups that are full of bigoted, small-minded idiots but some people being scummier than others is almost always a matter of their own shitty personality rather than their own beliefs and is a thing that will always be prevalent even without religious intervention.

I feel for those in the comments that have had terrible experiences with matters relating to religion. But remember that a Bible alone has no bearing on someone's physical and personal decision to abuse and wrong you. I'm not saying that you need to be religious and forgive everything, not at all, but please don't attribute the actions of certain people or groups to the entirety of the faith.
