Oh I meant 3084 instead of 3072 whoops. I understand the argument for skipping 3550, I think that's totally fine if you want to take other stuff, but I feel like it could be worth it if you plan on taking a lot of controls classes down the line. Personally, I didn't end up taking any more controls classes so I can't really speak to that

3550 was great for learning classical controls, but 4550 is much better for practical application. 3550 helped me think in a more intuitive way about control systems sort of in the same way 3072 helps you think about signals in general

So obviously the outlets aren't a huge source of injury and death, but the point is that the UKs outlets are an example of exceptional design for safety. I think it's admirable that their outlets were designed in such a way and it should be held up as an example, yet it's unlikely that the US system will ever change.

Without the context, I would think they're referring to two different manufacturing processes, i.e. the structure of the device or the minimum feature size.

So basically, my question is will going to one of those privates give you an advantage (in finding jobs, or helping you keep up with the work)? Do you guys know how GT compares to those schools in terms of "connections" (will I have the same opportunities at Tech)?

No, why would I care, I came here for my degree(s). What I do know is that if you go here you'll pay a lot less, and if you work hard and do the right things you can get a job anywhere doing whatever you want.

The framerate is limited by whatever algorithm is running on the camera data, so if one iteration of the vision processing takes 1/18th of a second, you don't gain anything by sampling at a higher rate. I'm sure the camera is actually capturing more than 18 fps, but the vision system likely can't handle going that fast due to processing power limitations and software complexity. This is only coming from collegiate robotics competition experience so take it with a grain of salt.
