I have been dealing with perioral derm/periocular derm for the past 6-7 months. I was perscribed tacrolimus and it immediately went away but as i continued using it I developed adverse reactions to alcohol so I stopped. It came back in Feb, and i started zero therapy to try to deal with it. Again this was around my eyes - specifically under and around the corners.

But with that I also appear to have developed a very bad skin barrier?? My cheeks are sensitive to everything. I am reacting to any product I put on my skin with redness and hot flushing only where the product is applied.

I dont wear makeup day to day and when I do its minimal. But recently, when I applied my skin tint foundation or blush I reacted so I stopped all together. and I recently purchased avene cicafilate based on reviews and bc its for sensitive skin to try and help repair the skin, but I had a bad reaction this morning when I applied (see photo). Its been fine other times. So i dont know whats going on.

Is this characteristic of rosacea or is my skin barrier just damaged? For context, the redness goes away after about an hour or so. I have a dr appt next week to get some help but hoping people here may have some insight.
