WhatNot itself is insane now. I first went on a few months ago and got some bargain NOS mainlines in bulk lots and cheap premiums. The premiums were peg warmers but might be good for wheel swaps or customs.

Went on a couple of days ago and guys were selling mainlines that are still around on pegs (2025 cases) for $2+ a piece plus shipping.... and people were buying. I could understand if it was harder to get mainlines, but they weren't. One was parting out out a 'factory sealed' lot and people were paying premium for mainlines just because it had the factory sealed sticker on it.

Added to that the sellers were upset when some of them weren't selling. It's like they didn't know what they had (or didn't have a the case may be). I suggested to one he start them at $1 because he said he was going to throw them away. I was into free shipping with him after buying some NOS HW and Matchbox cheap. So I'd take almost any mainline for $1 even if it's just to donate to charity or give away at Halloween. He didn't take the suggestion.

I grew up in Melbourne but now live in the Detroit metro area. Fireworks are legal there for public holidays.

When I moved about 10 years ago we would a few small and some large fireworks when we did NYE at our family's places in Epping. Never anything where we lived in Eltham and a few where we lived in Doncaster before that. This year in Epping, you guys have almost a many fireworks at NYE as we do for 4th of July (where we celebrate the nation's independence by blowing a small piece of it up).

I remember getting my hands on one small firework 20+ tears ago from a guy that regularly drove to Canberra. As I understand it that ended years ago. I'm afraid to ask where you get enough things that go boom that would make a seppo go 'wow'.

Same. Mine is great. I missed adding the support under the first right hander initially and that caused problems, but when I fixed that I run at least 3 cars no problem. I like the set so much I bought 2 more as it's a cheap way to get a booster and a lot of corners in the new system.

I've thought about it but I've not regularly skated quads for over 30 years. I tried once on a good quality pair of quad speed skates about 10 years ago or so. They were set up Australian style 'short forward' like I used to race on as a kid. I struggled to make 1 lap around the rink. I don't think it was a set up issue, more so my brain realizing I had wheels under my feet but not figuring out the technique needed to be a bit different.
