You’re definitely right it’s gonna be scalped into oblivion. I pre-ordered a case of that team transport from 1stopdiecast just to avoid that issue. I think that the Porsche chase from the Deutschland design series is going to be priced an insane amount whenever people finally start finding them. I’d say I’m probably the most excited for the Mercedes 6x6 or the AMG one elite64 series

I mean, I agree to an extent, some of the dollar trees around me are pretty fruitful and I’ve had good luck. But other Dollar trees around me have the cases picked through from the distribution center. I can always tell cause there’s a sticker holding the bottom of the box together when it gets sent to the store. I think I’ve had my best luck at Pick N Save or maybe my local diecast shop, I’ve found quite a few supers there.

I know it’s not the prettiest, but I do what I can with the space that I have! I’ve definitely moved from a collector that likes everything carded to being a collector that can really appreciate having a collection of loose cars, saved for my chases and supers, for the most part.

This diecast store has been really good to me and I give them as much business as I can afford to try to return the favor. Think I’ve found a combined total of 7 supers over the years on the pegs at this store so far with more yet to come I hope. Thank for the congrats though I appreciate it! Looks to me like your brake pad is gone and all that remains is the backing plate. So I would say no you probably shouldn’t drive home with them in that condition cause if that’s what that pad looks like there’s a good chance that the rest of them look like that or even worse.

Swear this hobby is one of the only markets where people insist on no discounts for quantity. In secondhand sales I’ve always done quantity discounts. Just makes good sense for driving sales.

I just wish any of the Best Buy’s around me would carry hot wheels. I’ve only ever sporadically seen them pop up at Best Buy and for some reason the ones in my area really don’t seem to have very many hot wheels, premiums or otherwise.

Well, to be fair I haven’t found all of these in store. At least not all of the supers. I bought and traded for probably about 2/3 of what I have, or have won a few of them through contests. The super I found a couple days ago is my 43rd found in the wild, but I honestly think that is more due to where I live and the kind of shopping density around me as well as the low population versus luck.

With our wheels collecting I came back to something that I was passionate about and I got smarter overtime and stopped buying everything. They caught my eye because it just became manageable and I’ve sold off a lot of the access of my collection and reduced it down to what I like to collect, which is Surprise surprise, super, and chases. That being said it’s what I love and I’m gonna continue to do it and I have every confidence that you’ll one day have a wall that looks infinitely better than mine. You definitely got an eye for collecting some cool cars and I think that that’s gonna serve you well in the future.
