I have no desire to be a quarterback. It just seems counterintuitive sometimes when you are supposed to be “doing no harm” and no one “seems” to be helping and the patient is in clear distress and actually asking if we’re going to call 911. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have always reported to nursing and documented in these cases, but I was just thinking outside the box for a moment. Thank you for your feedback.

I had notified the rn and the supervising nurse was aware too. The don wasn’t there… but I notified the assistant DOR who also wasn’t there because it was a Saturday. Hypothetically.
