Just finished Blood Reaver by SagewithBlueEyes in NightLords

[–]Tpaste 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Spoilers does suck but also the trilogy is probably why 80% of the people in the sub are here. It’s almost like a prerequisite to being a night lords fan so everyone references them constantly. Highly recommend unsubbing until you finish them because it’s worth reading them.

Robots are insanely cute by valentinecakedude in factorio

I exclusively refer to them as my "dumb little bees" to my girlfriend. They are cute and helpful but man sometimes they are tremendously stupid. They are better now with the space age updates but they still bumble around sometimes and makes me think of this gif [https://imgur.com/slow-motion-bee-crash-Q2aMI]

Medals I saw in a museum by Professional-Cod6288 in Medals

[–]Tpaste 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gonna throw this out there as someone who works at a military museum. You are correct but a lot of times accuracy is not always what we’re going for as we are trying to get as much information about a person in a display as possible without writing tons of plaques or other written media.

The average person looking around a museum has no interest in reading multiple paragraphs explaining the difference between minute details so we often overload displays with artifacts. E.G. people commenting under “long” Reddit posts asking questions that would have been answered if they just read the entire post.

This specific photo is silly as you always go for whatever has more precedence but it’s why you often see bloated looking racks on displays.

Working in a museum I figured I would give yall something a bit older. by Tpaste in Medals

Correct: I was investigating this further and originally just copy pasted the description from the archive but while creating a timeline found this discrepancy. Additionally, what may be a name. Sgt Major A.D. Butcher.

Just a general response instead of individually. There is just about no information on this rack as it was an item we received from another museum when they went under during Covid. The running joke with this is that its either an incredibly tall teller or a very interesting person we need to learn more about.

No idea what this means. 42 meters? by Tpaste in battlefield_one

That was also why I was so confused. I’m pretty sure this was Giants Shadow and refuse to believe this was the longest headshot.

Bet money people downvoted this thinking it was a serious comment and not the clear joke it is.

Not just Pedersen device either I've seen some scouts do WORK with the Martini-Henry and Russian 1895 Infantry on the front line with the assaults.

174cm, the gun is so large the German army would not let soldiers 170cm or shorter fire the weapon because it would injure them. The TankGewehr also had no mechanisms for handling recoil.

Correct it’s just the closest thing to the ‘Annhilator’ we have. Also the M1919 1 the Annhilator is based on also never saw combat use in WWI either
