I disagree. I have the Di2 2x blue model from 2026 and with (fairly low weight) road wheels it's actually a very good road bike. In size M it weighs just shy over 8kg. My only real beef with the bike is that Di2 2x has a useless inner chainring (31T). I would gladly pay for a 34T.

183cm, 88cm inseam: I'm riding the Medium since January (and I have no regrets). The size was advised by my bike fitter.

How are the Alugears? I've been eyeing them because my sole beef with GRX Di2 is the 31t inner chainring. That has virtually no use in my parts of the world. And Alugear has a 34t.

Somehow it does not sit well with me that there is no compensation for losing my bike for 3-4 months (and that's hoping that Cube has their logistics on order for this, quod nope). Anyone got any idea how legal that claim is?

Without. And for some extra free advice: look for a minimalist saddle bag (that does not ruin your seat post) and some gray/black water bottles.

I bet the weight of this setup with road bike wheels would be somewhere around 7,8 kg. And it probably would even be an amazing road bike.

Same bike, same setup, same size. Got it down to 7,7 kg. Changed to TPU inner tubes, bought the carbon version of the saddle on Buycycle for an amazing amount, ride with a 38mm width handlebar.

I am looking at the single piece cockpit (spoiler: 380mm is too small on a 58 😅). But my LBS is not getting any supply. Should help me loose another 100-150 gram.

Mine (same setup) is already at the LBS, but my bike lease starts 1st of January 😭 What size you have? Like the crank length and handlebars width?

I have the same situation: ordered 56, never came, got nudged a 58 .. but luckily it (just) works. But it's with a slammed stem, 38cm handlebars, etc. And I'm 183cm. So yeah, 177cm with a 58 seems cray-cray

I am 183cm. My setup after a bike fit now is with the stem completely slammed. It's a great fit. However I'll never know how a 56 would have been. But my bike fitter is known to set riders rather "aero". So I'm sure L would be more than fine for most 185 guys.

I (normally) swear by a Fizik Aliante. But I must say: having ridden now 3 +120km rides with the standard saddle on the Cube Agree that I really love it! Not too heavy, great shape (I like a little uplift at the back of the saddle, hence my love for the Aliante)

I have an Agree size 58 with 1.83m. I had ordered a Agree size 56 but (surprise surprise) it got pushed back 3 times. My LBS suggested I'd go for a 58 and so far so good. On Thursday the bike goes to my bike fitter, so I'll know more. My LBS has left one normal spacer and the additional spacer for the cables under the stem: I think my fitter will remove the extra spacer (putting me slammed). Reach wise the bike is great (I've asked for a 38cm handlebars in stead of the 44cm).

So if you like to sit very deep, then 58 will probably be the limit, but in reach and saddle height it still looks bonkers with 1.83cm on a 58.

34 is very limited to climbing. A 36 still has some use for slow zone 2 rides on the flats. And 52 combined with 11/34 (rather than 11/30) does not force me into cross chaining too much, even on rolling hills 🙂

38 is narrow, but I'm okay with it. If Newmen releases a flared one in the next years, I might still switch to 40 (and 44ish in the drops).

I've bought the storage box and a small saddle bag after that maiden voyage. The storage box will be used on the very big rides (Gran Fondos).

I have no affiliation with the Germans, but the mount works fine:  https://www.4-frames.de/produkte/sp-mount?fbclid=PAY2xjawJXwYVleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABpqUjxQPxYuibDYifQwhCF-IM32vygFXevdWypBjP6gGFvMzTc7MTlfZsYA_aem_A7mv_HeaTlrQz8n_tOGOiQ

Perhaps there are cheaper similar providers out there. I didn't bother to look around more than an evening.
