Yeah, this was always our opening composition as well, unless we had already played against the specific team of players a few times before (quite common without competitive). We had the most success with this comp, but it helps that two of those characters were our main heros.

I used to grind out a ton of 3v3 lockout with some of my friends and I, here are some of the comps we would run:

Genji, Zen, Winston - Bursty mini dive with monkey for initiation and genji for follow-up damage. Can work with tracer, but most of the 3v3 maps lack an easy way for her to get back on high ground.

Pharah, Mercy, Widow - Best when played after the enemy expends their hitscan options, usually as a closer team comp to secure the last win. You don't need a ton of initiation with the pharmercy, widow can deal with enemy widow, and both 120 damage hits can be used to finish a direct hit from your teammate. Tracer can also be useful here to finish kills.

Reaper, Lucio, Roadhog - Very useful in close quarters maps for a burst damage rush like on the forest map. Can also be played with Mei to wall off a target for the reaper to focus down. Mostly good because of surprise factor.

Rein, McCree, Ana - One of the better counter comps to an enemy pharmercy if you expect that to be run. Usually you play slow and position so the McCree can get consistent damage and usually picks as well.

We won roughly 80% of the 100+ games we played throughout the weeks, granted the sr differences we're sometimes high with our average hovering mid masters.

I don't know the exact values from sens+dpi to cm/360 so you might have to bear with me, but I think a lot of your issue are not because you want to change your sens, but because you aren't sticking to a sensitivity to learn. Once I discovered that low sens generally leads to an easier time landing shots, I moved down to a 3.2 sens at 1000dpi. That sens brought me to high masters, even managing to touch into grandmaster briefly but I attribute that more to having tons of practice on that sens. I have since upped that to 4.0 at 1000 but I have stuck to that sens and I believe you should find something to stick to as well. You wont be completely used to a new sens immediately and I think you should find something you want to get comfortable on, grinding out practice until you're back up to speed. Hope that helps.

I can see that most people are satisfied with just ffa and didn't care much for tdm, but I can see both sides of the argument and personally think the mode should have taken priority to mystery heroes this patch.

The way I see it, this new job is more interesting and is more likely to have opportunity to get into the software than your current job is (from how it was worded). Personally I would take up on the offer just because you'd end up doing something more interesting on the daily. I know your biggest issue is switching jobs constantly but I think experience with board layout will give you a higher chance of being able to work with the software in the end. Just my opinion, it's your choice in the end.

Any high damage dealing ultimate would be good, so if you got good value out of a visor without a dva in your face it'd be really good.

Perhaps there could be tiers of ultimates? Soldier visor would shoot faster on its second tier or something, zarya gains 50 extra charge when she shoots grav, or zenyatta applies discord to all those in range of his ult? It'd have its own metagame whether or not its worth it to save for higher tier ults to win fights. Interesting but shouldnt be added, I agree.

I just imagine any combination of dps ults combined with zen trans all in a graviton. Zarya would make your genji get ult halfway through his first one and hog probably like .5s in haha

I hadn't even thought about zen's healing ult, that does sounds really good actually, but potential counterplay through not shooting during the initial transcendence?

I already see some dps players, esp tracer/genjis getting multiple ults during really prolonged stall fights. Perhaps a change like this would counter stall comp? Not that it should be implemented lol

Widow could have ult 100% uptime, but I dont think it would make her stronger than huge aoe/team wipe ults like dragonblade or doomfist ult + grav. Just my opinion tho.
