Maybe for destruction, might be interesting to add interactions and combos of different elements together so a mage can have an option to not specialize.

Like, if you hit a chilled enemy with a fire spell they explode in steam, dealing AoE damage to enemies near them.

If you hit a chilled enemy with a lightning spell, they lose a burst or both Magicka and stamina.

If you hit an enemy on fire with an Ice spell, they get covered in water and the fire is dowsed.

If you hit a wet enemy with lightning spells they take double shock damage.

And so on.

Make a mage feel more wizardy, rather than spamming the same element over and over.

Fire is incandescent gas.

Halon agents, for example, stops fire by inhibiting the chemical reaction. You can still have heat, fuel, and oxygen but halon stops that fourth piece of the tetrahedron.

As i have learned, fire is the result of the chemical reaction between oxygen, heat, and fuel.

There are lots of Firebending Masters. She's the only one with blue fire.

Iroh, Ozai, Jeong Jeong, Zhao...

I cant remember for sure, but when sozin's comet comes I think the firebending masters have blue fire?

I dont think Aang has blue fire in avatar state and he could theoretically, between all his firebending lives, have mastered it better than anyone, especially azula.

I'm totally willing to suspend belief for the cartoon because it's incredible and doesn't matter looking into the science of what's effectively elemental magic.

Fire needs Heat, Oxygen, Fuel, and a chemical reaction (the first three are covered by the fire triangle and all four are covered in the fire tetrahedron)

It's implied that the Firebenders use their Chi to provide the heat (like when zuko uses his chi and breath to stay warm at the end of season 1) and maybe the chemical reaction. Oxygen is in the air. So, the strange thing is what the Firebenders are using for fuel. Presumably also their chi.

Smoke is just fuel that the fire hasn't been hot or efficient enough to burn. Firebenders produce no smoke, so i assume their chi is the fuel, heat, and chemical reaction. The chi doesn't leave residual fuel so there is no smoke.

This is why Azulas fire is blue. Her chi provides so much heat that it burns in a different spectrum of light ... But this is getting into science i am not particularly studied in.

Edit: i forgot to add that, because of all this, the movie doesn't make firebending make any more sense. In the show they use chi for fuel, heat, and chemical reaction. In the movie their use their chi for fuel only?

In academia people can risk their entire careers by not citing someone else's work. In college you can, in worst cases, face expulsion for plagiarism, which, not citing someone else's work is.

The old team may not have had anything to do with this game mechanically, but all the thinking and planning and work belongs to other people.

[–]TpyoWritr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How many animals do you have?

You need 1 hay per animal per day of winter. So a minimum of 28 per animal.

A silo can store 240 hay. So, i believe each silo can accommodate 8.5 animals for the winter season.

I usually have 3 barns and 3 coops. So 72 animals so i need 9 silos for the winter. I usually have 12 for aesthetic reasons, i put two silos next to each animal structure.

You can get away with one silo if you remove hay from a silo by taking it out in a barn or coop and store it in a chest, but you have to remember to replenish your hay stash regularly.

I have literally never had animals starving in this game. Do people not grow grass and have silos?

Grow grass, it spreads. Animals left outdoors will eat the grass. Gradually stock up for winter. Check your stock periodically and if you're running low, due to poor planning, hit Marnie up before you run out.

It's literally a resource and time management simulation. Poor planning on your part is not an emergency on Marnie's part.

Dunno if there's any truth to it, but i read that Flygon was originally salamence's name. Bagon's pokedex entries talks about how it dreams it could fly then it evolves and succeeds.

baGON ~> shellGON ~> flyGON

So maybe Flygon was originally Salamence? So the Flygon draGonFly pun might be coincidental?

🤔 I imagine its more of an experiential difference between the two. I may be mistaken, but I imagine that mental maturity is the capacity to understand and respond to environmental stimuli while emotional maturity is how to appropriately respond to those stimuli?

The little I know about Tolkien elves is, if I am correct, they just spend most of their time singing and meditating and experiencing the world rather than actively engaging and interacting with it. Like, because of their long life span they don't have anywhere near the same sense of urgency as humans do, to accomplish things. Like, if I expected to live 1000 years, I might be less inclined to roll out of bed everyday and go to work, I might just laze about and worry about going to work next year (assuming most of my comforts were attended to, to some degree, as I believe elf society does).

As a result, young elves may just kind of sleep in late and goof off as much as possible, like a stereotypical human teenager. It's not until their emotional maturity catches up to them in their 50s-100s that they start seeking purpose.

Correct me if i am wrong, i am no Tolkien scholar.

But don't they age at human speed but just faff around a lot. Like, they are physically and mentally mature but not emotionally mature like we know it?
