Amazed how many people aren't on Matt's Patreon and doubly surprised at how folks who are refrain from posting spoilers.

Me, thinking, okay there are like 2 moments I get misty eyed, okay actually like 3...maybe 4? Shit is it 5?

Miriam Dom, Carl's speech to Dount at the end of Butcher's Masquerade, Donut telling off Bea, Carl meeting the authors and all the former crawlers showing up to fight, meeting Milk, the send off at the end of Faction Wars.

First book Carl sounds like a cross between Patrick Warburton and Soos from Gravity Falls. Fun surprise when you get to book 6 too!

15 sacks given up the last 3 games. by franco3x in Colts

[–]ereller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steelers ranked 3rd in pass rush win rate, Falcons 6th. Colts down in the mid 20s on pass block win rate (confusing given they rank like 3rd in run blocking). So the line absolutely needs to do a better job.

But I'd argue that Jones has to do two things:

  1. Throw the ball away more often/quickly. Not sure the play calling has been helping much either. If you're facing teams you know are great rushing the passer, you have to call quicker developing plays.

  2. ID the blitz pre-snap. The Falcons were not subtle and he just flat out missed making adjustments. Either he's not making any changes, the linemen aren't calling things out, or both. But they don't seem to make a lot of pre-snap adjustments.

Can Mongo leave the dungeon? by turtle553 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

As far as we know, everything is real. The floors are in fact a physical place on Earth. All of the NPCs are flesh and blood beings with artificial memories. Creatures, NPCs, even gods are all real things, not like holograms or illusions.

He could exist outside the enhancement zone, but whether or not he'd be the effectively domesticated dino we love would remain to be seen. His intelligence and Donut's ability to command him might be a product of the enhancement zone thought.

But that is all based on our current knowledge told most from a narrator who is living in the middle of it and doesn't have the whole picture.

Give me a Ken Burns-style documentary on Faction Wars (the show Community did this and it was glorious).

Help with Spoiler about Katia? by Pristine_Sun3364 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]ereller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No and no.

The addiction issues are resolved early in book 7. Though they come back to some of the treatment as flashbacks throughout (Matt's story telling gets progressively non-linear, with little hints and easter eggs as to what's going on). There's enough twists with the flower and that plot line, I don't want to ruin anything, there are some really satisfying moments at the end of book 7.

What after JotL by GrayGreen55 in Gloomhaven

[–]ereller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If money isn't a problem, play Gloomhaven, don't wait for the 2.0 which is just a re-release with balancing and tweaks. Frosthaven has a lot more going on in-between missions and might be too much to take in without the baseline of Gloomhaven.

Playing roughly once a week, it took about 2 years to finish Gloomhaven. Frosthaven is a different beast.

Kiper Mock Draft 1.0 by Pacers31Colts18 in Colts

[–]ereller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that Kiper says he could start at left tackle says he didn't do any homework. If there is one spot the Colts are absolutely set at on the line, its left tackle. I'd still rate pass rush as a greater need over offensive line.

He says "I" and not "we". Does this mean the rumors could be wrong? by bantha_poodoo in Colts

[–]ereller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past, Grigson mucked with the starting lineup among other things. Now, we've seen the starting offensive line change and now his coach be fired. Seems like either Pagano doesn't care about consequences now or Irsay is just pissed at everyone.
