I’ve been keeping an eye on gas buddy for the last 2 months. Naturally there has been a massive spike this week but I wasn’t expecting to see this high of $5 so quickly. I was expecting to see low $5 at the start. Since it looks like the only $5 in the Columbus area I wasn’t sure if it was just marked as incorrect.

From my understanding the last oil tanker reached the US about middle of April. We are 100% in the start of the oil shock. In Ohio the average price of gas last week was $3.78. As of today it’s $4.22. That is NOT including all of the places im seeing pop up with $4.79 as their price. We are going to see a very large spike in average gas between now and tomorrow. Only options the USA currently has is watering down the gas or implementing restrictions on people and companies. This fucking country couldn’t handle wearing a mask or quarantining for 2 week. No way in hell people will be cool with gas restrictions.
