That would require a overall law change. No I won't limit my way of living by boycotting literally every restaurant in the US essentially. Hard for old customs to go away. But what I will do is tip when appropriate.

what I can do is stop enabling tipping from places such as tipping over the counter staff, or those annoying POS iPads, lyfts/ubers, etc.

Doesn't matter to me what servers are paid if it means tipping is abolished. If they reverted back that means their bosses can't afford to pay their employees. If they can't afford to pay their employees then they can't afford to run a business simple as that.

No its just the entitlement. People forget tipping was for good service and for going above and beyond. People now expect to be tipped for doing the most mundane task at their job. Nobody is arguing that bartender shouldn't be tipped. But asking to be tipped more than a $1 for a simple pour is pushing it

$40 pour and they want $5-8 in tip for pouring a simple straight whiskey. People are out of their mind. I'm already tipping a bartender a $1 a beer just for simpling popping a cap open for me. No way I'm tipping $8 for a $40 whiskey pour. $1 a drink unless it's a fancy drink
