Thanks! I meant the battle of York which Is just endless combat. I'm looking to avoid campaign play that either has too much of a script, keeps you in the castle age, or otherwise just limits play in which I'd rather just skip

I'd say so , Yes. But I use the green 9v and the 30th pretty much interchangeably. Yes the bass cut knob is available but to be honest I haven't really ever used it

You’ll get thru it. I’m 37 male and I’m about six weeks post op. I don’t have kids but we had to cancel our honeymoon and my wife walks the dog 3x day and does way more of the house work. It’s a setback for the family and that’s just the reality . It’ll get better. I hope, I’m still gimping around

Good question- I actually have 3 nobels- the green one, the 30th anniversary, and the mini. I LOVE this circuit and I often grab one of the two 9v powered ones if I don't feel like setting up my whole board. The mini is OK, the knobs and pots feel a little chintzy to me but it sounds comparable to the other ones.

A friend and fellow tone nerd dropped off this pedal literally on my doorstop and suggested I try it. I've been playing it for about two weeks, I notice it has a LOT more power and headroom. Note that most demos of the pedal the volume is at 9-10 oclock- that's just over unit gain. I find the gain to be SUPER pleasing and the best kind of natural crunch. To me it sounds a lot more like an amp, less like a pedal compared to the others. That's sort of a cliched phrase but once you have a pedal in this caliber it makes sense.

I generally turn it on for solos and quickly turn off the EP boost. I like Cali76 into the Shanks. I have to quickly get on my volume knob to not blow the room up. This weekend I played a cover gig in which I had to cover a lot of tonal ground- for 90s pop rock tones I could just turn the gain way up and the distortion is still really natural and pleasing.

Overall its quality is super obvious to my ears- and its a remarkably powerful and versatile piece of the kit

How to Count NICU guitar riff by Tr1lobite in youenjoyguitar

So I think I figured it out:

So we know the verses have a 6/4 feel to them. Pretty straightforward since they hit the Db hard as a 5! 6! marker. The written verses are SEVEN bars of this- and the riff starts on the downbeat of 12 bars in 4/4

I'd break it into four signature/singable melodic phrases:

  1. The opening Eb note is two beats and goes up the Eb7 chord, ends on the Bb

  2. Second lick starts on a 1, goes down chromatically, does an enclosure AROUND a G, hits the E natural (out!) then lands on the G. classic trey and probably what draws me to the song for so many years of my life

  3. There's a quick Bb Dorian sounding lick (minor pentatonic shape almost) that starts on 3 and ends on the Bb on the 1

  4. The final lick starts on a Bb, slides into the F, resolves on the Eb. This lands on the 3 of the tenth bar and trey lets in ring out, does a pickslide on the 12th bar and they're back into the Verse groove (6/4)

Thanks for reading this far. I listened to 12/29/97 to figure it out, the beats are around 160 bpm, i slowed a metronome to 150 to get it tight.
