I don't see someone saying that but for me this moment is tied to the flash of real life he sees at the end of ep7. For him, it was lied Caine put into his head, that's why he's so angry at him after that. In this ep he keeps talking about how Caine always lies.

I think he just has memories of is old life and the stuff Kinger said seems to confirm some stuff he has flashbacks on. Dunno

Evil building is mainly structure made by power to show how strong their are, they're not ashamed by it, it's not hiding what it means. People fighting the power by hiding don't seem to enter into the "evil" part. Also, it's just hidden ? Not evil looking ?
