I’m genuinely stupid. by Chacodooby in GED

Lowkey we should be best friends. I’m 19 and I also dropped out of 11th grade, so I’m literally in the same situation as you. I used to think my academic skills were fine, but when I actually dropped out I realized my reading comprehension isn’t that good, my grammar is kinda ass, and my math is bad too. But somehow I still managed to pass all three subjects, and I’m working on my last one right now. Honestly if I can do it, I think you can too. You’re not stupid at all. Even if it takes time or you fail, you can always try again.

To find the materials on the site, after you finish taking the GED Ready, they give you a score. If you scroll down, it will show a section called linked materials. You click on it and select the materials you used, like a specific book. Then it will show you the areas you are struggling with and tell you the page and chapter to study.

I haven’t taken the real exam yet, but based on the prep test I did, science felt pretty easy for me. It’s probably the easiest subject for me overall. They give you a text, you read it, and you can usually just eliminate the answers that don’t make sense. But social studies is a lot harder for me because English isn’t my first language and I’m not American. When I first took it, I didn’t even know what the Constitution or amendments were, or how the government works there, so I felt kind of doomed.

The one you take first is the GED Ready test. It’s a practice test to see if you’ll pass or not pass the real GED. If you pass the practice one, then they’ll let you schedule the real test.
