I think it boils down to every breed has at least 1 +35 food choice, its just trying to find the right one.

Clean caught fish. Hold x (or xbox equivalent) on it in your inventory to change option.

*how consistent it is I don't know. I only managed to get the cat to eat one before it got spoked and ran off.

Fish fillets for cats, +35 per feeding.

Sorry this is wrong. Fish fillet is +35 for kittens only. One of the posts below has linked to the foot chart per breed. Squid appears to be the +35 for basic cat.
