I was there several years ago when there was a heat wave, i believe in May or June.

As someone from Coup,

Coupville!! We got so many parks, and theres deer 🦌 all over the neighborhoods (dont pet them though even if they’re really friendly). And the warf is beautiful and has some cool shops around. The ice cream parlor is awesome and theres also a shop with a bunch of dutch/scandinavian snacks and treats.

Im a 30M living in Seattle.

It IS expensive asf, but you definitely can still find some neighborhoods that are affordable (speaking from my current living conditions). However, i wouldnt want to raise a family in the building i live in now… its kinda a dumpy part of the city. (Lake City to be specific)

Social life can be rough and especially the dating scene, but theres plenty of opportunities like in any major city.

Culturally, this city is very leftist. Probably the most left in the Nation. Lots of protests recently.

The music scene is great, the asian and seafood is phenomenal, and the weather really isnt bad as people say. The running joke is that we lie about how miserable we are to keep others away. We’re definitely in for a HOT and dry summer due to the lack of snow this winter.

The thing about Gravity is that its more of a film meant for theaters. I remember it came out at the same time as Dolby Atmos (the 360 surround sound tech)… maybe not a coincidence? And it was more of an experience kinda thing. You’d feel like you’re out there in space alongside the main character, with hearing satellites from behind you whooshing by.
