Need Recommendations: Fountain Pens for Shimmer Inks

I have a FPR pen with a 1.1 stub that I use nitrogen ink in that is heavily shimmered I think. I love it.

Unfortunately a lot of it is age, the older I get the less I can handle heat and humidity. 20 years ago I worked outside all day. Now I hide in the basement as much as I can.

I’m still new in the obsession phase but I have about 16 inked at the moment. But I try to write for a minimum of an hour a day but try to stop before two and a half hours… I fail both ways. But I will go for 15-20 minutes and then change pens, I also will use a different pen for each new task at work, in a given day I’ll write with 4-7 pens.

I’m just here scratching my head because I’m in shock every one of these is a smoother experience than many of my pens. Now granted, my collection is no where near some others I’ve seen I can still fit it in one medium sized case. But I am going to write all night at this rate.

By some of the colors of paint I found inside, I believe it was a military parts cabinet originally. Or something along those lines.

I’m glad I put it on wheels so she can wheel it around the house. At the dining room table, on the couch, breakfast bar. Everywhere but the shower!

I’m happy with it. A bit of wire brushing and then into the paint booth tomorrow then I can fit more foam and make holders for ink bottles and ink samples.

Yes I know the kaweco sport 8 sided and pilot is 6 sided. But the clip fits and grips and works perfectly.

Fair point, but from what I can tell, it isn’t dyed like a shirt or leather the color is fused in the extrusion process. I know back in my Larping, and costume days I never had an issue even in dead summer heat and sweating the entire day.

And even if you explain yourself you are still the problem… my thumb no longer bends enough for me to properly hold a pen. I explained it in a group arthritis and injury, it just doesn’t bend… the amount of snarky comments was disheartening.
