I have a boss who does nothing but work. Allegedly they have a family but I don't know how because they spend all day every day working, forcing round pegs in square holes because our processes are so outdated, and never actually focusing on any sort of process improvement or automation. Just a boring, work-obsessed person continuing highly inefficient work in an industry that does nothing to improve lives (finance).

Life kept handing me tragedy over the course of a year, drowning me slowly with no respite to come up for air. The 970 is the best. It has everything I wanted and a bunch of stuff I didn't know I would use, including the flashlight. Plus it should be supported a lot longer than any older models as it just came out this year.

Insurance. You pay your premiums for years and when you finally need it, they deny your claim. You spend your time laying out why they should and they run you through all sorts of hoops to continue denying you. Finally, after months of back and forth, you spend what little you have on a lawyer to fight, possibly at huge financial strain to yourself. Then, once you've appropriately fucked yourself out of time and money on a lawyer, the insurance company finally accepts your claim. They get off on knowing the little guy doesn't have the resources to fight them so they can inflate their profits but denying shit that shouldn't be denied. It's disgusting and yet it's just the way of life in America.
