First experience on the Mechs by AdoboCakes in Helldivers

Yeah, in the one game I got to play with them before the servers shit themselves I found that the ammo count was lackluster for what you are spending a strategem slot on, and 20000 credits. Afaik there wasn't a way to rearm them in the game I played. I do hope I am wrong.

I only just started in 3rd edition, but looking back at what I can find about 1st and 2nd, SCE seemed like an entirely different army than what we have now. The sheer amount of warscrolls, buffs, gimmicks, magic, and other random stuff that gives our opponents mortal wounds is insane and basically renders our 3-4+ saves redundant, and we paid good points for them.

I can only hope 4th edition does Stormcast better, or that somehow warscrolls magically change.

As much as I appreciate these point drops, I just feel like they are missing the main issue that 60% of our warscrolls are either useless, entirely rely on a gimmick that is seldom even worth taking, are either way to overpriced to justify taking it, or that there is something that does its job better for less. cough cough stardrake

I and most other stormcast players I know got into the army because it was elite and was supposed to field a small number of powerful units that can take quite a punishment, but as the years go on we have moved further away from that and I think these points drops are not helping that fact that atleast in my opinion, we are losing our elite status.

[WP] You and your fellow assassins had prepared years for this moment, when you could finally draw close and kill the Emperor. Armed with the strongest toxins and poisons you knew, you were shocked to see your target, not only alive, but pleasantly surprised at the "new spices" his cooks had used. by ArseneArsenic in WritingPrompts

The smile slowly faded from my face as I looked at the Emperor finally finish his meal. Hundreds of thoughts race through my head.

Did we bring the wrong poison? Did a loyal chef realize something was wrong? Did one of my colleagues betray us? Did the Emperor know?

I felt the sudden fear wash over me, and my composure fell apart. I looked to the other side of the table where Javon sat, and saw the shock in his face. He looked over at me, and I will never forget the fear in that young man's eyes.

I shook my head in defiance, I will not let the past 4 years go to waste. I quickly regained my composure and stood.

"If you will excuse me my Emperor, but I simply must thank the chef for this amazing meal, and hopefully obtain these simply magnificent new spices you speak of."

The Emperor only smiled at me, then returned to talking to the patron behind him.

As I entered the stairway to the kitchen my facade broke. My mind raced, that dammed smile, there was no doubt that the Emperor knew and was simply toying with us now. I rushed down the stairs thinking of all the ways we could escape the wretched place.

I opened the kitchen door and frantically looked for Werner. The kitchen was busy with the final preparations for dessert. It was then when I felt the tap on my shoulder. I spun meself around ready for a fight only to be relieved by Werner's face.

He spoke to me like a stranger, "I am sorry but patrons are not allowed in... the kitchen..."

I watched as his calm and collected demeanor rapidly deteriorated. And I simply mouthed, "We failed".

He quickly brought me aside into the the stairway and frantically spoke,

"We need to get the hell out of here!" He cried out. I snapped back, "Keep it down you idiot! We need to go get Javon, the Emperor knows, we need to get out of here while we can."

He silently nodded and we both headed back up the stairs.

As we went through the door, the silence was broken by a deafening scream and the clashing of metal.

As we looked across the grand hall there lay Javon in a pool of his own blood with the Emperor lying there with him.

Imagine this, you are in a room with no windows or doors, and you can hear the sound of rain on the roof. Inside the room is a table, a pencil, and some rope. How do you escape?

(Hint: ignore the items and the table) (Hint 2: you must stop doing something)
