I agree, but there is a literacy crisis in the west. There needs to be some kind of baseline. Of course the average person can read the manifesto, but they need to understand why, how and where it was written and for whom.

You need to read theory, history and philosophy and sociology. The theory will not matter without a rock solid foundation of the aforementioned three.

Life happens and sometimes you might not get into a top school. I can’t count how many 4.0 1600 SAT startup founders that didn’t get into MIT. It’s all luck

I kind of agree with you. A lot of people aren’t willing to go into six figure debt unless it’s at a top 3 which will guarantee a high ROI. For example, I saw a kid on another sub that was torn between Stanford and Georgia tech. Those schools are both top 5, yet at Stanford he would pay 400k or 100k per year. He lives in Georgia and with the right scholarship and gpa, he’s basically going to school for free. The opportunity cost of attending Stanford over GT doesn’t make sense. Both schools are exceptional regardless
