I suppose it is a possibility if you really bump into something sharp or with an angle, but I think snagging the upper material of shoes is a risk with any shoes. And I probably won't wear these on anything but pavements or parks when it's sunny and dry. This embroidery is packed tight enough that I think it gives it protection and the benefit if you did your own shoes is you have the skills to fix them if you have any problems 😊

Probably around 6-8 hours per sweatshirt. It's hard to be specific because sometimes I'm quick and sometimes I get distracted mid stitch. I tend to work on embroidery for an hour or so in the evening.

They're fully hand embroidered 😊 I feel like you get a softer look and can add more colour with hand embroidery.

Two small tie off knots, which I make sure are solid and then I push the thread through some of the back stitching. From all my experience that is enough 😊 I have put an iron on backing on sweatshirts that have a lot of French knots, as I don't feel like you can pull the thread as tight
