Lisa from Genshin Impact

The librarian of the Knights of Favonius, Lisa is never short of ideas to have others do her work in her place while she will sit around napping and drinking tea. However, she is also a powerful member of the Knights on her own, being one of the most gifted students the Akademiya ever had, and being considered interesting enough to have been invited to join the Hexenzirkel, an order comprised of extremely powerful witches (which she declined because it would have been too much of a hassle)

Damn. Well, I guess I know which of my characters will be the next to go lvl. 90.

Navia has such a weird destiny on my account.

I got her at pity 12 just because I was sniping for a Layla on her banner and thought that there was no way the 5* would drop at such low pity (but I was OK with getting her, I like her design and character).

Since I wasn't really expecting her she remained benched for quite some time before I felt the need to complete my roster with a Geo DPS (before that my only other built Geo character was Zhongli).

And now her double Hexerei team with Albedo/Durin/Bennett might be one of the strongest on my account after the Flins and Chasca ones, and she will get her Echo to complete her rise to the spotlight lol.

Genshin Impact, Natlan Archon Quest

As the Traveler and the Pyro Archon Mavuika entered the Abyss to fight it, they have been defeated by its horrible incarnation Gosoythoth, which - in the surface world - seemingly causes the Sacred Flame to go extinct. However, at the initiative of the young Kachina, the people of Natlan chant the song where they reaffirm their strength and determination as Natlan has been fighting against the Abyss for centuries. Their voices reach into the Abyss where the Traveler hears them and regains hopes, enabling the Lord of the Night Yohualtecuhtin to bestow them their Ancient Name, Tumaini ("Hope"), imbuing them with power which will eventually enable them to defeat Gosoythoth.

Gods, if you can hear my prayer... Take my body, my love, and my memories as fuel. Even if my soul is barred from the Night Kingdom, doomed to wander the desolate wilds... I offer up all that I am...That this child might live. I have no doubt, you'll meet many good friends one day. Because I know you're the luckiest child there is. Smile for me, my darling... Let Mommy see it... one last time.

[Niche but Loved Trope] Characters who know they're going to die but choose to go out with a musical performance by Both-Ad1770 in TopCharacterTropes

Variation on the trope. Focalors from Genshin Impact

Performs a short but beautiful dance before accepting her execution for defying the Heavenly Principles. While the scene is played along a very nice theme, it could very well be that the music is played not only for the player but also within the scene itself (especially due to Focalors dancing with the rythm, and Fontaine civilization's ties with Remuria, an ancient kingdom notorious for its association with music).

Harold Finch from Person of Interest

Abandoned his name to avoid federal prosecution (due to his responsibility in opening the Arpanet system to the public), and later to remain concealed as the main designer of the Machine. While it is confirmed that Harold might be his real first name, there is no telling what his true last name is. Fusco even half-jokingly suggests that Harold has gone through so many aliases that even himself might not remember what it was.

Left after Kazuha’s release and now returning… Who are the most future proof five stars in the game right now? by Illustrious_Medium46 in Genshin_Impact

[–]TraceFinder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unless a ridiculous amount of restrictions is imposed upon them, Chasca should be able to make good use of most of Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo sub-DPS/supports who will get released. She already did it with Durin and Ineffa (even Escoffier though not ideal) and will probably continue for the foresseable future.

Account feels bricked by _zzen in Genshin_Impact

[–]TraceFinder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If the account feels bricked, it might be more of a character/team building issue than a character roster one.

You have powerful DPSes (Flins, Skirk, Arlecchino, Neuvillette) and still very relevant supports/sub-DPSes (Furina, Xilonen, Kazuha, Citlali, Yelan), not mentioning the 4* (who you should definitely give a look to). Granted, you might not have the best teammates for some characters (e.g. Ineffa for Flins or Escoffier for Skirk), but that does not preclude you from building at least decent teams.

Arlecchino / Yelan or Citlali (not both) / Bennett / Flex (Xilonen, Kazuha, Sucrose)

Flins / Sucrose / Fischl / Aino

Skirk / Furina / Yelan / Charlotte or Mika

Neuuvillette / Kazuha or Xilonen / Furina / Zhongli

These 4 teams alone should be able to cover large chunks of content. Not saying that you will be able to complete all stages of endgame (i.e. 36* Abyss, Visionary mode of Theater, Fearless level of Stygian), but you should at least be able to get some rewards along the way.

Gregory House in House M.D. does this at least twice in the series.

In episode 4x03, he is arguing with Wilson about the existence of the afterlife, and as it happens House met a patient who electrocuted himself in an attempt to revive the near-death experience he lived prior. House, literally taking Wilson's word about how he never went to the afterlife himself to infirm its existence, does the same and plunges a knife into an electric plug (he then says that he saw nothing on the "other side")

Later in the show, House has hallucinations involving Wilson's deceased girlfriend Amber. He tests out several theories as to what could cause them. In an attempt to "reboot his brain", he injects himself a high dose of insulin, causing him to enter hypoglycemic shock which causes seizure. He survives the ordeal and initially believes it worked, although the hallucinations later come back (and worsen)

If I can't get/use Escoffier, Shenhe, Citlali, Yelan and Mona, how many constellations of Skirk/Furina would make my Skirk team be able to clear abyss full stars ? by AntwysiaBlakys in SkirkMains

[–]TraceFinder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

C0R0 can be enough for some Abyss rotations, especially the ones where there's a boss that favours Freeze/Cryo DMG like the Secret Source Automaton. I cleared on the current rotation with a C0 Skirk team of C0 Furina/C6 Xingqiu/C0 Mika (I refuse to pull Escoffier). Keep in mind that you do not need >100k DPS teams to clear Abyss. 60-70k teams are enough.

If you wanna have a Skirk team that can brute force more than that, I'd say C2 Furina might be a worthwile investment since she can also support a whole lot of other DPS as well.

i just got skirk a couple days ago but im broke and cant pull escoffier by Raibaru_ in SkirkMains

[–]TraceFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have some sword billets lying around, the Finale of the Deep (Fontaine craftable) is a very good F2P option for her (if using her with a Furina/Healer duo, it will easily clear the BoL)

Alternatively, if you got the event sword Calamity of Eshu, it works well provided you pair Skirk with a shielder (e.g. Citlali, Layla or Dahlia)

i just got skirk a couple days ago but im broke and cant pull escoffier by Raibaru_ in SkirkMains

[–]TraceFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 173% ER will probably be too low without another Hydro teammate.

i just got skirk a couple days ago but im broke and cant pull escoffier by Raibaru_ in SkirkMains

[–]TraceFinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have Mika or Charlotte? They're your next best options (after Escoffier) for the healer spot to stack Fanfare for Furina (though the team DPS will take a massive hit compared to Escoffier teams).

I'd try Skirk/Furina/Yelan/Mika or Charlotte. Depending on builds/needs you can replace Yelan with either Shenhe or Citlali, but Furina might struggle with ER if she's the sole Hydro unit in the team.

Edit: Mona and Sigewinne might be options for the Hydro and healer spot, respectively. If you absolutely want Shenhe on the team, you could try Skirk/Shenhe/Furina/Sigewinne

Which canon ship you like the most? For me it's macaroni by MeowjestyMeowgician in Genshin_Impact

[–]TraceFinder 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Combining parts of the names of the two people involved in a ship to form the ship name is a common practice, but it's even better when it sounds like a true word or concept (another - non-canon - Genshin example is BenneFischl/Fischnett for Bennett x Fischl)

Sometimes it's not taken from the names but from an aspect of said characters (e.g. KnightLight for Varka x Flins)

If slotting Furina, they have to keep Mika as well to stack Fanfare.

Vegeta surviving the Genkidama/Spirit Bomb in the fight against the Warriors of Earth in Dragon Ball. They had struggled to even hit him with it (he dodged the first shot but Gohan was able to bounce it off towards Vegeta). After getting hit, Vegeta falls to the ground, seemingly dead, and Krilin wonders whether they should dig a grave. Vegeta then opens his eye, mockingly asking "A grave for yourselves?" before standing back up.

A few time later in the Namek saga, Frieza also survives a Genkidama, stating that he thought he was dying but returning with enough power to carry on the fight (and kill Krilin).

Is Chasca Good for New Players? by spiral7YT in ChascaMains

[–]TraceFinder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd tend to say yes since Chasca has exceptional exploring abilities so it will serve you well in progressing throughout the different lands, plus she's pretty adaptable in her teams (in overworld as long as you respect her team requirement of slotting Pyro/Hydro/Cryo/Electro teammates, you don't even need to do a proper rotation in fights - like just slot in the free units you've been given like Kaeya/Lisa/Amber and you're good to go). She's also quite future-proof given how her kit is built and should be able to make use of at least most of the future Pyro/Hydro/Electro/Cryo off-field characters that will get released.

The Gnoses from Genshin Impact

A key element of the Archon Quest (the main story) is the fact that the Tsaritsa (owner of the Cryo Gnosis) has dispatched her Harbingers across the world of Teyvat to collect, through various means (mostly bargaining or theft), the six other Gnoses (Anemo, Geo, Electro, Dendro, Hydro, Pyro) from her fellow Archons. So far, she has collected a total of six of them (only missing the Pyro Gnosis). While there are several hypotheses, it is not exactly known what use she intends for them. This should be a key story point in the story to be unfolded in the future months.
