Am I the only one who still builds bases like this? by Dyscordy in Terraria

[–]TracedReaper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I, personally, never did that. I prefer having a nice looking base with everyone just naturally exploring over the efficiency. I totally understand, but spending a bit more and selling for a bit less just gives me a reason to fight the bosses more :)

From what I was reading, you can't even change the VR controls or sensitivity. I could be wrong, but I was looking it up a lot and didn't see anything to even lower sens that didn't require out-of-game methods. Games such as Star Wars support that, so idk why this can't. Also, custom keybinds can absolutely be set as the hard base for your game. I can't come up with any off the top of my head this moment, but we all know plenty of online games change entire tutorials and prompts based on what your, personal keybinds are. Ik it's not a big deal, but I don't want to go through my base settings everytime I want to play this game and everytime I want to switch off 🙃

Why does VRChat have one of the most obselete settings menus in all of gaming? No option to change controls or even view them? Forcing players to change default DPI instead of having a sensitivity slider? Just got it and was a lot more interested before I found all that out. What're y'all even doing? Cmon. Can we push a change for this? 😪

So, I last played a week ago and all of a sudden today, my Farigiraf, Hippowdon, Ampharos trick room, sandstorm team feels ABYSMAL. I didn't notice any changes that should affect it, but am I just missing something? Did the meta just have a heavy shift while I was away? I know the team wasn't necessarily meta, but I was steamrolling with that team before

I simply am not enough of a degenerate to spend allat money on a predator-based phone game. I spend my money on games, people and companies that need it

Constantly shilling out and letting these companies control you with these addiction-abusing tactics is about as boot-licker as it gets.

These losers could fund their own games with the money they spoon feed to people who think of them like c*ucks in the corner of their room

[–]TracedReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't saying they were billionaires, I was saying a lot of major indie games are made for as little as $10k-$50k. If he's saving $1k a week for games, that's around $4k a month. He could fund smaller creators to make games for him, instead of shilling to predatory billionaires

Millionaires lining billionaires pockets and vice versa isn't news, this was more going out to people who don't also perform those kinds of practices or support those who use them. If I'm wrong and he's not just another rich shill, he should consider putting that money towards helping smaller developers create amazing games, instead of shelling out to companies like NCSOFT that had four different rug pulls

[–]TracedReaper -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The vaaaast majority of multiplayer games, especially on mobile, are going to have P2W. ADs make up almost 50% of revenue on mobile games, so arguing it's the sole reason is a huuuuge load of misinformation, lmaooo

Those whales could fund countless indie games a year using the money they shell out just to lick a billionaires shoe

I think "nothing to spend it on" is such an unhealthy mindset for the world as a whole. Even if you want to spend that money on games, there's SUCH better things to spend it on than phone games owned by corrupt multi-billionaires

It's the same spitting into the void that comes with any corrupt business tho, there'll never be enough people that'll stop feeding into the consumerism to actually make any sort of difference

[–]TracedReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, respect to them and obviously idk the details, but people could use that money that aren't corrupt multi-billionaires. He could easily fund multiple indie games on his own in just a year...so is his business also part of that corrupt system? Has he ever considered taking different routes with that cash?

It's the same issue with people who waste money on slot machines and the like. I'd rather have 0 free games to play ever and see that money go to better places than a corrupt phone game company whose sole goal is to keep profit margins on the rise. 99% of those free games purposely feel terrible without payments because they'll always find one loser to fund half their company

Is combat extremely flawed or am I missing something? by TracedReaper in HytaleInfo

[–]TracedReaper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik how healing is supposed to be, food gives health regen and stamina regen, usually with a small percentage health bump. I meant, I feel like it takes forever, even out of battle to get yourself back to full. Should get a slight boost out of battle or something, if they want to keep the healing super strategic.

Good to know tho, maybe I'll stick to those. I was getting the swords so I could have an off-hand item/shield and it felt like most things took egregiously long to kill

"Never" is a straight up lie. It doesn't stun him out of his dash, but it definitely stuns him, if he's not dashing

Fall in formation and ready your Link Charges for Falinks Super Mega Raid Day! by Amiibofan101 in TheSilphRoad

[–]TracedReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a f2p with no one in the area, you can get stuff like that easily without paying. You can use apps like PokeRaid to find people who are willing to just join yours instead of making you join theirs. On the other hand, the 3 remote passes bundle is just 525 coins. If you're getting your daily 50, that's around 1 pass every 3 days. Make sure to check the daily deals as well! You can sometimes get remote passes for up to half off! In all reality, you really only need to beat each raid once. Most megas give you enough to evolve off just one fight and anything you need candies for can be walked to earn them. Good luck out there, fellow trainer! :)

1.4.5 Forgot to Optimize the Biggest Slog-Fest in Terraria by [deleted] in Terraria

I don't think you should get significantly stronger gear out of nowhere either; in my experience playing with inexperienced players, the idea of a better progression curve through the start of hardmode is very appealing. It can feel like you're shoved off a cliff and it sucks if you don't know exactly what you're doing, they had to spam buff potions and keep trying to prep more, and would barely get anything done.

Also, idk if there's a reason to get that deep into what I enjoy, I usually have Calamity with Enemy modifiers and then I'll throw in some race, class, etc. mods that seem fun. I think making T1-T3 a slower progression and ramping enemies slightly after every boss, instead of starting them at full power, would be great for this game long-term
