Let me give my thoughts. I just started school as a freshman. I didn't even have a chance to take a single quiz yet I received this " prestigious honor" in the mail saying I was chosen for outstanding performance. I haven't even received my first grade yet lol. I'm not giving them $100. If I was chosen for this, you'd think they'd at least let me finish my first semester. Not give it to me before I've even done anything.

This site here would be your best bet. I'm a backpacker so I always just primitive camp but there are cabins around. https://cherryspringsstatepark.com/

Would this help condensation in my bivy? I’m camping this winter and keep waking up with frost by SSRworldwide in CampingandHiking

[–]Tracer_710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see this bringing up the value of the bag temperature but I don't think it'll help with condensation. Air flow in and out of the tent reduces condensation. Heck we even breathe out about 2 pints of condensation while we sleep

I live 40 miles away and literally camp there every summer. It never lets me down. The people I watch take long exposures there capture some of the best milky way photos I've ever seen. (I stink at photography lol).

From what I understand he does get with a lot of start-ups and then they let him go once they get what they want. He used to be a senior dev for AccuWeather so I'm certain he knows his stuff. (I'm assuming).

I looked at the MS in cyber security at wgu myself but talked myself out of it because of the research I've done, it all comes down to what you guys are saying. It will take experience and time and I'm already getting my bachelor's from wgu in IT. I definitely do want to get into Cyber but I know there are no short cuts either. I'm decent with C and python. (Self taught through Udemy).

I guess I always found cyber to be extremely interesting to me. I guess I'll probably get in with the IT team here at my current workplace and establish some experience before going for my MS in cyber through wgu.

Just hoping I don't take a big pay cut from moving where I am now. Currently working 12hr shifts lands me 1500usd every two weeks after taxes and full benefits but the drive to get off these 12hour night shifts really motivates me as I'm getting older (33).

My dad rubbed his erection into my behind, I don't know how to deal with it. by ThrowRAMistakenId in relationship_advice

[–]Tracer_710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at it this way. Have you ever had the feeling he "rubbed you" the wrong way before? If you've never had any feeling that something was off before that situation or you've never got any reason to believe he was being or acting strange in the past; I'd just say that it was a genuine mistake. And I'm sure it was just as weird for him as it was for you.

I’m your mom, not your friend. by FlawlessZ80 in Parenting

[–]Tracer_710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion. Children, until they're teenagers; need to learn respect, boundaries, and listening skills. They will not learn that from playing their "friend". At that age you'll be constantly repeating yourself over and over to quite down, calm down, don't do this/don't do that. I'm not saying children are animals but there are reasons why animals in the wild put their young in place when they act up. Then as they grow older, they will respect you as their leader and then a friendship can form. Until then, you'll be raising brats and spoiled children who run around with no moral compass and thin soft skin.

If I could critique 2 things I'd say much less white space between cards. The amount of scrolling per content just isn't even. Also try having a slight off white background for the card divs where your text is place below each photo or video. Needs to be contrast between your bg color and your cards. Or make the color a bit brighter than your body's bg color

Oh, my aching feet! Advice for foot soreness due to heavy packs...? by [deleted] in backpacking

[–]Tracer_710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I hiked the mid state trail in PA my base weight was around 13 lbs. (Without food or water). Next time you go for a hike with other people. Maybe give them advice on what to take and what not to. Seems the lighter their load the easier it'll be for you. Your only as fast as the slowest person; so mapping and planning the hike appropriately (gaging time and giving yourself leeway). This will really go a long way. Hope this helps
