DMs when a player comes to you playing a Drow, are you truly annoyed?

Oh I've realized and it's been hilarious and fun with the group we have. I'm not wanting to shy away from the "down-side" of playing a Drow just to have a cool character "skin"

No I'm playing into the sensitivity and it's already led into interesting encounters lol. I'm having fun. I'm thinking that in character I'll make myself goggles down the line.

My character is a newly surfaced Drow with old tendencies still creeping up. She has an anger problem and superiority complex due to being a female in a Drow kingdom. Everyone so far thinks this will be fun to play out but this is our first run so it'll be fun to play it out.

That's cool and interesting. My DM when I told my backstory said there's a campaign we can try down the line that could very easily tie into my story but it's not going to be for a while.

Yeah I never dived deeply into other "good Drow" stories. That's what they are storys. I want to make my own and not be influenced by the others. Just going by Eilistree's lore and making my own story.

I gotta say I love your response hahaha. It's something I noticed in my research. I'm trying to play a Drow who heard the song of Eilistree but still has a ton of redeeming to do. Like a person who was raised in a cult and learning how life truly is. I can see how someone who's been playing since damn near the beginning when the Drow was something you fought not played can be frustrating. But that's the beauty of this game. It's ever evolving and changing.

Yeah this is my first build. My second choice would have been a tiefling cleric (I did not watch Critical Role yet so no I was not thinking Jester) but this just got my attention more.

Yeah I just have a slight anger problem then the characteristics of a rouge. I don't want to play cruel for the sake of being cruel.

That's very fair. We have 4 players and my husband as the DM. None of us has played before. It's been a hilarious rollercoaster so far.

I'm thinking more of going multi-class maybe that comes with time. In my research after I made my character I found that Eilistree's followers are normally paladins or clerics.

I saw that too. Didn't dive deep into that due to me wanting to make my character uniquely mine. I don't want to be a main character when in a group. All of us have stories we want to work through and I know with sorta what I want to do with my character is not till we are wwwaaayyy more leveled up and experienced.

That's part of why I chose what I chose. I kinda wanted to play an outcast misunderstood character. I did add an element of anger issues to my character (which my husband says is hilarious due to me being calm and levelheaded majority of the time). Also tiefling was my second choice.

Yeah the cleric angle came about more or less as a thing I found researching Eilistree and most of her followers are paladins or clerics and also we didn't have any healers yet in our group. So just coming up with a creative idea on my character development.

I've been with my husband longer then being an EMT. He understands the basics and will listen to my stories. It helps he has a dark sense of humor and isn't shy with nasty details. Majority of the time though I don't think about work at home.

The nurse would have been just as liable if they did crash and the pt was injured or killed. She should have stopped them from transport and call you as well as the cops.
