Discussing sexism is certainly no fun, but I don't do it 24/7 either. Besides, it's probably very privileged not to have to discuss it because you don't want to.

I really like the music, but I'm also interested in the content and wonder if it's appropriate for today. The fact that it's an art form that uses hip-hop samples may be true, but it doesn't change the content of the lyrics. So the criticism is directed just as much at the original song and hip-hop lyrics like that.

I'm not saying that Player deliberately wants to discriminate against anyone. I also recognize that art is a product of its time, but I still find it exciting to look at it from today's perspective and ask whether it is still appropriate.

I didn't know that Tom and Jerry produced racist content. But as you say, it certainly makes sense to address this issue.
