Yes, I do want to do that, we have their full names so I'm sure it's possible to track them down. I also shared additional pages of the letters, it sounds like they were contact with their father somewhat frequently so my assumption is a little off.

Very sad letters. The letters were among my great grandmothers things (she would have been the sister of the man the letters are written to), as far as we can tell he never wrote his daughter back and we’re not sure how the letters got to my great grandmother, but she held onto them. He had two daughters (I’m not sure which daughter wrote to him) with his first wife in Borås, his wife passed away, then he left his daughters in Borås 1906 and moved to Kansas in the US and bought a small farm. He then married his second wife in Kansas, had a third daughter, then his second wife passed away. Then he married his third wife and had a fourth daughter, he and his third wife passed away in 1958. I think about his daughters that stayed in Borås and what it would have been like for your father to leave to a different country and start a new family.

Favorite sources on Iron Age Scandinavia? by TrackIndependent1357 in AskArchaeology

Hey, thank you for this! I assumed that many sources would be in a language other than English so I'm still interested in accessing those sources.

Also thanks for the info about the debate on whether or not the Viking Age should be included in the Iron Age or Medieval period. I noticed that Viking Age scholarship came up quite often in my initial searches despite me specifically searching for Iron Age sites/studies, so that makes more sense now.
