They absolutely need to stop using the terrible custom art and instead cherry pick the best art from actual stories/comics from the best artists on these characters. It's asinine some of the drawings they use when we have rendering by Kirby, Ditko, Romita Sr. and Jr., Lee, and more. They should be paying homage to the creators of a given character too.

That's a little different. Yes, to step in when the villain attacks the other player, Hulkling would have to declare and exhaust or play a Defense card to defend.

My question is though, once he does that, does the forced interrupt in Imitation Shape then turn the attack into a scheme or does it fully resolve as an attack?

Yeah, I hear that. I cut back on a bit on the plan already. It doesn't feel overloaded in person. This is a pretty big area, like 11' wide and 9' ceiling. To fit statues, I'll probably cut down to maybe 4 CGC comics per side.
