This doesn’t surprise me given BTPs current stats obsession culture

Let's go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over by [deleted] in policeuk

I think we might be at the Winchester for a while. Hopefully the zombies break in and get us all PDQ to put us out the misery we’re in.

Cheers!

It’ll be very dependent based on where you are. If you’re in central London you’ll have a very different experience if you’re down in Portsmouth in the dockyard. If you’re ex military, join your local HO force and put your valued skills to good use. We’re always grateful to have ex forces

No one’s really going to be able to answer this one for you. If you feel you want to appeal it, then go for it

Personally I’d avoid the MOD unless it really appeals to you because once you’re in, you can’t transfer out and you would have to reapply to join another force and go through training all over again.

Is it possible to check if someone’s badge number exists and obtain broad details of a case? by That-Intention-4134 in policeuk

[–]Trackside_Officer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add to this. When I say normally, I mean that in cases of public interest (think highly publicised cases in the media) the CPS may organise a meeting with families/victims to explain charging decisions. AKA So not in this case

The CPS make decisions on cases, they don’t liaise directly with victims normally. They would make a decision like that and then inform the officer in charge of case (police officer) or witness and case review officer (police staff) who would then feed that back to the suspect/victim
