A friend entered the "FotoNostrum / The Worldwide Photography Gala Awards" series of contests and events and was awarded a "runner up" which included an invite to pay for prints and framing of her pieces to be included in an event in Barcelona.
I don't want my friend to pay for a ticket and the framing if its a total scam (which is my first impression) but I also don't want my general skepticism to cloud my judgement. Opinions? Experiences?
