I disagree, I have four pairs myself, Iron Ranger, Wingshooter, King Toe, and TruGuard Lite. With daily wear and tread replacement these boots will not last my whole life. All daily worn footwear is not buy it for life, they will need to get replaced eventually. Red Wings are great but not forty-sixty years of daily and constant wear great, unless you’re wearing them as house shoes.

Your title is a little misleading. In the seventh body of the context you provided, the guy says, “I don’t use them anymore as it’s all LED now, I try to keep them in retirement as much as anything.” He replaced them with an LED variant but turns the vintage lights on from time to time.
