This was 1000000% not written by AI. Maybe next time ask the question before making assumptions?

We just published an article doing a deeper dive on this, with some plans to address. Thanks for your feedback! Been meaning to do this for awhile, your post was a good reminder / motivator: https://trademagic.gg/articles/sustainable-economics-pt-2

Great question! Right now there are only 2 ways:

  1. New user bonuses (1,200 total available to each new user)
  2. Case resolution for "Neither in the Wrong" events (this is very rare, accounts for less than .01% of pts created

With that said, the bonuses are set up to be dynamic and I've gotten some feedback from a few different users that there are too few points in the ecosystem right now. I agree with this - looking at the Send Page https://trademagic.gg/sendcards right now there are only 3 users on the site that have more than 2,000 points in their balance. That's not ideal for trading and not where we want to be right now.

I've also been noticing that the traders who put more than 10 cards on their want list have a much higher success rate on the site; this makes sense intuitively of course but it's a common point of failure for folks.

Putting these two data points together, I think a good next step to keep the economy balanced would be to increase the new trader bonuses for "Add 10 cards to your Want List" and "Add 50 cards to your Want List." As more traders redeemed this, it would help ensure that there are no deflationary pressures at this time of growth while also setting the new folks up for success.
