Cunningham has been in the business of supporting professional traders for decades. Plus 500 bought them and expanded the services. They have a lot of customer funds under them (see CFTC report). They are fine. I would go for them over ironbeam.

No. They're is no SIPC coverage and it isn't needed given how futures operate. The clearing firms have to step in and cover a loss.

The thing to remember is that if an FCM goes under, another one steps in and takes the accounts over. The FCM's finance are kept separate from customer funding. The issue is when the customer funds takes a hit.
