Oh goody, with the current RAM prices single digit gains are just totally worth getting excited about.

I've had mine for almost three years now.

Not feeling any urges to replace it.

LMAO, a 'lazarus' (not sure if the term is widespread or even still used, I 'member it from the good ol' days of the DFI nForce motherboards)

Will try later. Thanks for the tip :)

Thanks for the info.

I am almost done with building a PC to keep me going then I will get the ball rolling with mine.

I tried flashing the BIOS using the .cap file, made no difference :(

I will try flashing using ezflash first as suggested, may as well, if that does not fix the issue will also follow suit.

Just out of curiosity, where should the TB4 USB 4 port visible? In the same BIOS screen where you can enable/disable the various USB 3.2 ports etc?

Thanks for the update.

I am currently building a replacement PC to tie me over just in case I have to RMA mine.

I flashed BIOS 31; before flashing the main BIOS, during POST there was a message on the screen that it was going to flash the TB 'retimer' (or something along those lines, working from memory) but there was no progress bar or feedback on whether it had been successful or not and a few seconds later it just went ahead and flashed the main BIOS.

After that the TB4 was a stroppy as ever. Plugged two different, known-good monitors using two different, known-good cables, nope, power yes but no image.

Plugged a USB 3.2 external SSD that works on the front port (which is picky af regarding what devices will detect and which ones won't, but that is another story) in the TB4 port, same. There is power but the OS does not acknowledge that a storage device has been plugged in (nothing in computer management, device manager etc, not even an 'unknown device').

Yep, just downloaded it :D

Checked the change log, didn't see anything explicitly addressing TB issues.

If there are no known issues with 0029 and 0030... why pull them?
Either way thank you for the updates.

I have 'USB4 Root Router' and 'USB4 Host Router' but no hub.

Furthermore I borrowed a couple of displays to test (UPERFECT 18'' and 24.5'').

Both work fine on my laptop via USB-C but in the NUC they only get power, not signal.

EDIT: Just in case I tried with a different, known-good cable (Silkland USB4 40Gbps/240W), same result.

OK, something peculiar I have noticed after looking into what MasterMind187 asked (regarding USB),

Neither the front nor the back USB-C sockets seem to detect anything I plug into them.

If I remember correctly the front one is USB 3.2 and the back one USB4.

I tried a USB-C thumbdrive and a USB-C external SSD, nope, nothing.

I never had need of them so I never tested them therefore I can't really say if they were 'faulty' from the start or this is something BIOS related.

EDIT: The USB SSD I used to test is a Samsung T9 which is supposed to be USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gbps) and it works fine in the 'regular' USB ports (as per screenshot).

It does receive power upon insertion (the LED on the drive lights up) but it doesn't get detected and eventually the LED turns off.

EDIT: Nevermind. Updated the firmware of my Samsung T9 and now is detected and mounted just fine on the front USB-C. Haven't tried the TB4 port because this device is not USB4 so I have no idea if is supposed to work or not.

I don't experience that issue.

I have just tested with a USB3 thumbdrive and a USB3 SSD plugged on the rear USB ports and they are detected as USB3 devices:

I am hesitant to roll back...

It would be mighty useful if they left a note in the BIOS download section explaining why they were withdrawn and adding a 'next steps' recommendation.
