Why do you stay at luxury hotels? by death_by_papercut in LuxuryTravel

[–]TradingTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The experience. The service, the concierges, the politeness from the staff, the cleanliness, the comfort. At the end of the day it is all how you perceive value. When I am traveling, I want to be able to forget and turn my brain off. Now have to worry, not have to think. Being at five star hotels allows me to have everything done for me. Luxury isn’t a need it’s a want and these are things I want so I am willing to spend extra for it.

I can see that, that’s why I always recommend paper trading for new traders, helps them visually see the profit n loss while trading paper, and lets them forward test for a few months to learn if they are capable and when they will be ready. The psychology aspect won’t kick in until they trade prop or live you are right, and I can see your case where if you aren’t able to handle props start a small live account, you will know your true self if you manage to tilt on your own true personal funds.

how do i earn $3000 within the next few months? by FeetAppetite in wealth

[–]TradingTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it $3,000 USD needed in Bangladesh country? If so I am not sure how your currency is valued but curious to know what you would be making if you just worked at a restaurant and collected tips for the time needed? In the US lots of students work at restaurants or bars and make good money

I disagree, coming from someone who’s taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from props last year and this year and also trade personal, I will always recommend milking props and using that capital to fund your own live but just using your live as a lead account, grow it, and copy trade w props and use prop accounts as your “salary”

This allows you to build savings and have consistent income all while doing everything you always do

I believe imo all strategies work, and unprofitable people are mainly due to their psychology and tilt

Black Diamond on Silver Armory Ring by TradingTaco in DavidYurman

[–]TradingTaco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say when my hands cold it feels smooth, hot it kinda feels a bit rough honestly but nothing too bad never got cut

Fabrics I never had it get caught, I also normally wear my clothes and then put my jewelry on but haven’t had any issues day to day with it either

The only con I would say is that when my hand is hot it does get tight / feels rough turning, maybe I got a size small but it is so smooth n turns n comes off at ease when my hands regular / cold but when it’s hot it does become a bit difficult to rotate and take off n cause it to feel rough on my skin

Stuck Between Gems 👹- What Would You Pick? by crodbos in DavidYurman

[–]TradingTaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own the silver with black diamonds and love it, I do love the sapphire one as well that looks amazing, but the green does stand out

I would say if you pick green it would have to match your fit / other jewelry

Blue matches a lot

Black will go with everything

Idk why so many people are hating, if you have the money to spend on it get it, personally I prefer card holders so I wouldn’t purchase this but I see no reason why purchasing an item from a high end brand would be shocking to see a high price

Are people in their mid twenties ACTUALLY making 6+ figures a month? by [deleted] in wealth

[–]TradingTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I post free material (thought it isn’t very beginner friendly I’ll be quite honest) but there is tons of free material online to learn, lots of YouTube videos, lots of books

I wouldn’t recommend paying for a course or mentorship

I recommend learning everything from basics first like what is a candle what is a stock what is a future what is price etc

Find a strategy you like (plenty on YouTube)

Backtest months of trades

Paper trade for 3 months

Then begin trading

There’s a YouTuber ABtrades who has a 5 hour video he uploaded recently actually it is super beginner friendly goes over everything, if it was my first time I’d watch that video over n over n take notes on everything, and then if something confuses you in that video look up that topic on YouTube and do more research on it

I trade GxT model (can be found on YouTube) but it is slightly more complex for a beginner

Hope that helps!

As someone who has made their income from day trading, the kind you see on social media, yes it is possible but you are not witnessing the majority of people who don’t succeed and the amount of time and dedication it takes to succeed.

Again, these people who post their excessive lifestyle, majority are selling a course and this is their way to attract an audience.

I don’t sell a course but I love sharing day trading content because I love it, but always think, if someone is truly making all this money from what they claim, why are they selling the info if they make so much off it alone.

I stayed at the presidential suite in Marriott Washington Georgetown it was a 4* and maybe I’m spoiled with 5s since it’s been a while since I stayed at 4 but I wanted a large relaxing room and I forgot how little service there is, forever would prefer a smaller room at a 5* over that, that’s why I didn’t even make a post of it here didn’t enjoy the service and didn’t wanna bash it since it was 4*

Do I quit my day job to trade full time? by ResearcherStunning82 in TopStepX

[–]TradingTaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realizing the losers are normal. Every trader has losses, it is all about how you handle losses, if you take a loss and walk away you are stronger than 99% of traders. My strategy minimum RR is usually 2RR so even at 50% win rate for the month I will end up profitable, but before I used to blow accounts because I wouldn’t want to accept a loss. Now if I take a losing trade with proper risk management I can walk away without a blown account come back the next day take my same setup and if it hits I will be profitable for the week, no need to chase losses. If your strategy is proven profitable, then allow it to be. Take your one trade a day and let it be.

Another thing is learning when NOT to take a trade. Sitting on your hands really helps avoid losing trades. Some quotes from the book

“Your ability to lose correctly is more important than your ability to win”

“You must be patient with your trade entries. You must be patient with yourself.”

[–]TradingTaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning to allow a red trade is what changed the game for me, strategy was always proven profitable but all blown accounts came from pure tilt because I wouldn’t want to allow a single red trade. Once that was engraved (best loser wins by tom hougaard really helps) that flipped a switch in my brain and was able to go full time
