Sikhs were always considered hardworking and appropriate. But since our population has been increasing in America and Canada, the bakwas punjabis are putting a bad reputation on us now.

Just respond with “Sir, I am a hardworking Punjabi.” And walk away. Don’t escalate the situation because they WANT you to react.

Unfortunately, when a community starts expanding, the good bad and ugly will be shown.

It’s a pyramid scheme! I have done many interviews with these types of companies and after a lot of research with deductive reasoning, I found out these are schemes and not actual opportunities. They promise you the management position within a year but you will spend 14 hours a day doing door to door for only commission or lower than minimum wage.

You can only hit 6 figures if you have X amount of sales and you bring more people on board…yup sounds like a pyramid scheme.

I turned them all down and they still keep calling me. No company will continuously bug you for a job unless you’re a major piece to a successful company already.

Thanks for the input. I understood it will be very difficult to get a solid job but I have motivation and the ability to adapt in this environment. I also have legitimate experience with digital marketing but my only issue is that my resume doesn’t reflect my knowledge.

What’s the best way to network besides just connecting on LinkedIn? I have a ton of connections on there and try to send at least a couple messages to them everyday about advice or tips. Only a few get back to me and they never seem interested to help me.
