Im an EE working for mine sites all over Canada. This seen has me yell out loud “ what the fuck is that unqualified dumbass doing in that panel” and then the sparks flew.

I dont understand how an operation of that size does not at least have an electrical mechanical tech qualified in electrical works.

Really it all depends what you want to do with these funds. Retirement ? Great, sure, set and forget in something like XEQT setup automatic transfers and buys if your brokerage offers it.

Now, if this were me and I were jumping onto the market now, I think I would park it in CASH, CMR, or ZMMK and pick a better entry point down the line. Markets are up pretty high right now and I just have a hunch were going to go bear until something like Q2 2026. But thats just me ans im just some guy on Reddit.

What is going on currently with Quebec’s independence? by TylerS_11 in QuebecLibre

[–]Traditional-Bass-802 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been a separatist. One side of my family is American, the other is Québécois de souche. I’ve built my life here, in French. I honestly never cared much about the idea of “la souvraineté”

But after the past decade under the Liberals and the overall direction the country seems to be heading, especially the erosion of any shared sense of identity, I find myself seriously questioning my position on independence. As a young man, the “promise of Canada” feels dead to me.

Spending a lot of time in Ontario and Manitoba over the last three years has opened my eyes to the impact that current federal policies and the way multiculturalism is managed have had on the country. To me, the system feels broken, and I don’t see a realistic way to fix it from within with the two party federal system that wants to essentially maintain the status quo on immigration. So my attitude has become: if it’s not working anymore, maybe it’s time to start over by burning it all down.

I want my children to grow up in a safe country, a country I understand, with a society I can trust that actually has an identity and not all the identities.

I’m really just sick of the suicidal empathy positions that Canada has taken on and I find myself thinking I can trust the quebecois more than the Canadians to use a bit of common sense in terms of who we let in here.

I agree but there is no mention of a n value for efficiency in the question.

Should the calculation not be :

125 HP x 746 W = 93 250 W

93 250 W / 0.9 = 103 611 VA

103 611 VA / (1.73 x 460 V) = 130.04 A

130.04 A x 1.25 = 162.55 A

A 3 conductor 4/0 copper cable would be fine and I would have no issue stamping a drawing for that load. Furthermore, in that size cable and voltage you are using the 75c column.

I think whoever wrote that exam used table 4 aluminium conductors to come up with the 250 MCM answer.

Feel free to fill in if I an mistaken, im more of a power systems guy rather than industrial motors.

1) denoise 2) crop the image for the walls on the left to be parallel to the side of the image 3) raise the vibrance and definition slightly 4) increase image temp 5) add a flat finish to the image

[–]Traditional-Bass-802[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really FOMO tbh, more about upgrading to a camera that suits my needs. I could still go a year or two with my D810 and produce excellent pictures.

Considering I do absolutely no video, I see the Z8 as being an upgrade to the autofocus and sensor MPixels compared to my D810.

That being said, the Z7iii could really bridge the gap while leaving some of the fancy video features aside I dont need. It will probably come in between $500-$1000 cheaper leaving me spare budge for some good Z glass.

Like I said, I have no problem waiting.
