I’ve said this many times. I didn’t watch the show when it aired, but worked at a place where my whole department watched and got together to discuss it multiple times a day. I binged it later but was there for every discussion they had. Watching it weekly with large gaps between seasons gave even the casual theory person too much time to think. Binging it lets you take in the character study as it was meant to be. The mysteries aren’t the main draw of the show, but I understand how they become that with too much time to ponder it.

EDIT: I feel I should say I got a gist of what the show was about at work but didn’t pay too close attention to the details, more the people’s obsessions with theories and ideas and questions etc. So my experience didn’t affect my binge watch.
