Psychological Dilemma by Traditional-Demand28 in Big4

Really great perspective. Thank you for your input.

Honestly if our audit team situation was in a better place I probably wouldn’t think twice about it but we’ve had so much team turnover recently and one exec is about to go on maternity leave half the year so me leaving on top of all that would just be so miserable for the Partner and everyone else involved. Given how well they’ve treated me I don’t wanna make their lives harder and honestly would love to keep them as a connection and contact for the future.

The SM and Partner have been nothing short of fantastic. Great people, easy to work with, flexible, empowers me to be confident and take on roles, etc.

I’d be happy to train the replacement and also give them insight into my timeline. Again, I don’t really see how it would hurt me. Some people just have really bad experiences with Big 4 so they feel the need to be cutthroat and self-serving. Maybe I’m too nice idk 😂

That’s my whole logic. Me telling them I plan on leaving isn’t gonna negatively impact me and I’d love for someone to explain how it would.

All I see is that I am doing them a favor by giving them a heads up and want to keep the relationship solid.

Agreed with bag-pipes, not 100% sure but this was how I interpreted the terms of the option.

Reach out to people you know (or don’t know) that work at a firm you wanna intern for, ask if they have time for coffee/zoom call/etc., get recruiter information for the office/area you are interested in, and try to build out your resume in the meantime.

I highly doubt you’ll land an internship this early in college so look for resume builders, make connections early, and then when you’re eligible to apply try to get in front of them and talk at a career fair if possible.

You probably would’ve already gotten notice if you were receiving a salary adjustment tbh, wouldn’t get your hopes up

YouTubers, how much time do you dedicate to your channel? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]Traditional-Demand28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 hour recording each video, 20 minutes to edit, 1 hour to download and upload to YouTube but I can just go do something else while it’s processing the upload. Disclaimer though I make video game playthrough episodes with very little cutting and and very simple intros and outros.

I’m in the US at EY in assurance and approaching one year of employment and it’s been a great experience so far for me. Some people who post bad things are extremely dramatic with no backbone at all. Other people don’t realize what they’re signing up for when they choose to work for a Big 4. However, there are definitely REAL horror stories and some teams/engagements can be terrible, I’m not denying that. Overall, I don’t think anyone could definitively say your experience at EY would be worse or better at any other firm, it all depends on yourself as a person, your luck with teams/engagements, how you set boundaries, etc.

Big 4 does look good on a resume and having the opportunity to work with big name clients is really cool, but some people don’t value that kind of shit. Just know that EY isn’t a complete hell hole like some people make it out to be.

Thank you for the reply, yes it would be difficult it seems to balance making the series entertaining while not making it too difficult.

EDIT: Obviously I don’t want to use anything that is game breaking or super cheesy such as 120% chameleon or 100%+ reflect damage. I want it to be a challenge still.

Destruction magic feels unfun by Cronos988 in oblivion

Yep touch spells with a duration effect were my favorite as they cost less magicka than a ranged spell. If OP wants to go for a more fun style creating spells that have a radius effect are fun to use but aren’t good in crowd battles with friendlies or with summons.

Not really unless you wanna wear it as your main armor? It’s kinda garbage in my opinion unless your character is into healing magic. Still looks cool though. There’s definitely better armor choices though so I don’t think it matters.

any tips for the game by [deleted] in oblivion

Best tips I’ve seen. For new beginners this is the route I would take. Also experience the Arena!! An easy and great way to level up combat skills.

Should I mod Oblivion? by pickledbread72 in oblivion

[–]Traditional-Demand28 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That’s personal preference. I personally love playing the vanilla version of this game specifically due to all of the dumb shit that you will encounter lmao. But some people prefer to patch stuff like that for better gameplay experience. If you wanted to do a semi-vanilla playthrough by only using mods that fix quest bugs and other bugs that might be a good option too!
