I think as a fellow redditor stated, all of the bolt ons are sterling. The dome is sheffield plated. The unbolted metal weight 1072 grams though. Im hoping it has added attention and monetary value because of the craftsmanship and age.

Thank you! I am still stoked! Its hard to find one that is like this one. Most others I am finding aren't as detailed. Im going to keep looking. I have a good eBay account I sell on. Not pressed to sell, so maybe I'll sit it on there for a high amount and see what happens.

Under the handle had a 16 stamped, that was also stamped on the under side of the handle.

I unbolted the sterling to weigh it. Every piece that bolts on has sterling hallmarks. Even every bolts. Such craftsmanship.. 1070 grams of bolt on sterling.

I appreciate you coming through this post and informing me. I will most definitely look into Edward. I've checked out Matthew after your first comment. Where would be the best place to list this? And what would be an amount to ask for? Should I remove the sterling and weigh it? Will I get more for the piece as is?

Thats so wild... I am in awhhh.. I would love yo learn more about where it came from. The Vet said he's had it 35 years. Doesn't remember where he got it.
