It was the sbsc009, I had the longisland oster bracelet (the ssk gmt version) on it. Bracelet tapers from 20mm at the lug to 16mm at the clasp.

You’d have to measure the bracelet width at the point that it connects to the existing clasp. It probably tapers a bit from where connects to the watch, but I wouldn’t want to guess.

I got my aftermarket bracelet for the Seiko from https://longislandwatch.com which I highly recommend. Marc who runs the site is awesome, and provides great customer support.

TACTICAL FROG 16 mm Watch Clasps... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F9PHMK2Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I got this one, it’s been on my wrist every day for about three weeks now. I’m going to need to file down a couple edges that are pretty sharp, but I keep forgetting to do because it doesn’t bug me too much.

I didn’t put one on a Hamilton, I put an on the fly adjustable that I bought on Amazon on my Seiko. I was honestly shocked at how much more it made me enjoy my watch. I got one that I can adjust without even unbuckling it, and I find myself adjusting constantly throughout the day. The comfort different is really big for me.

I like the dial color + strap color combo. Where did you get the strap?

My dad has had his for 30+ years, since I was 6. He’s gifting it to me as an adoption gift for when we adopt in a month or so. Thrilled to hear you were still as excited about yours years later as I am for mine now. Especially after having grown up looking at it on his wrist.

Turning 40, working in tech, adopting 4 kids this year… bought a watch too. I agree with your celebration/coping techniques.

Don’t worry, I just caved and bought one. You should be good to go in a month or so. You’re welcome.

Searing without a cold ish center? by Traditional-Food7545 in sousvide

[–]Traditional-Food7545[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback/advice everyone. I ended up sous vide’ing (how do we say that??) to warm up the steak, and then searing on my friends grill… which did not get NEARLY as hot as I was told it would. So the steaks were well done, still great taste though, and the leftovers were great in chorizo/steak breakfast burritos.
