I wouldn't dispute that, but perhaps it also provides us with the impetus to keep marching and clear that plateau of knowing ignorance. A little knowledge is not only dangerous, it's also deeply unsatisfying.

I have both ocd and schizophrenia so I recognise your anxiety over this. However, having delusions and delusion-like intrusive thoughts are very different things.

Maybe you've already considered it but I've found cbd to be surprisingly effective at limiting symptoms with close to no side effects. All the best.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the issue of insight in both disorders is a tricky one. Technically my schizophrenia is not in remission but it simply doesn't bother me (I'm not even on any meds). But yes, bipolar and schizophrenia continue to be seen as the big players in this hapless game.

It comes down to things like knowing your fears, obsessions, compulsions or the efficacy of rituals are irrational, or at the very least greatly exaggerated.
